You replaced the lid. Did you transfer any possible latch devices from the old to the new lid. Some lids have a magnet that has to be transfered. That magnet activates the switch. Some lids have a plunger or arrow shaped device that needs transfered that goes into a hole to activate the lid switch. Hope you still have the old lid to look at.

I looked at the Haier website and all other usual sources but could find nothing. I think you should e-mail [email protected] with the same query. Good luck

I have an akira washing machine. problem is that when it comes to spin...E2 will appear. what is the problem n how to fix it? thank you.

E2 is a faulty button on your control board. Rub your hands over the buttons to make sure none of them are stuck and if you find nothing, try to unplug the unit for 60 seconds. If you continue to have issues, the control board will just need to be ordered and replaced to fix the issue. Here is also a link for the manual. My washing machine toshiba aw-9760s Kept showing this "E2 -3" problem. Whenever i close the lid to start washing my cloths. Anyone here can help me? In need of answers A.S.A.P

I also have a Toshiba AW-9790S, and encountered similar problem. The E2-3 would occur sporadically and halt the washing programme. E2-3 error occurs when the washing machine detects that the lid is not properly seated and locked during the rinse or spin cycles. I took mine apart and resolved my problem by cleaning the contacts for the switches. There are 2 contact switches at the lower right side; 1 for sensing the lid is closed and 1 for sensing that the lid lock is engaged. Both the switches were slightly oxidized which prevented current flow and the sensors from working properly.

E2 comes up once cycle is selected what and how do I fix this?

This machine is very problematic. I had the E2 Error as well. The problem, like dddd501 said, is with the spring in the left hinge of the top lid. It probably gets loose after some use. I solved this, after many trial and errors by wedging a piece of thick cardboard in the gap between the top lid and the surrounding machine in such a way as to PUSH the top lid BACKWARDS into the direction of the control panel. This, I presume, will force the spring into whatever sensor that detects the top lid is closed and removes the E2 message.

Hope helps.

Broken lid

Head over to the manufacturer's website.

Typically they have a SUPPORT section - where you enter the FULL model number, and then can get a parts breakdown and ordering information.

E2 error but I did close the door

I think there is a problem with the spring that is attached on the left hinge of the door. Try elevating the door for a couple of milimeters with some rubber object. that should help
