Sounds like the VGA driver may be corrupted or has not installed correctly.

Go to 'Device Manager (as an Administrator),
Find your graphic card in the list,
Uninstall it by right clicking,
Then restart your computer.

The VGA driver will reinstall itself automatically as the computer restarts.

Testimonial: "Can't even find it in the list. The drivers for the card are installed but can not find the card in device manager... what can i do now"

ASUS P5VD2-X vga

Hello, I am the technician that will be assisting you today. My name is Norman-Wynne Damstra.
Welcome to Fixya, Ichigo.

Since your ASUS mainboard has no onboard VGA graphics adaptor you will need to install the Video/Graphics driver for your Installed Graphics Card.

Find the make and model number of this card and then either place it as a comment to this solution or visit the appropriate manufactures website:

For Geforce graphics: www.nvidia.com
or
For ATI/AMD graphics: www.amd.com

The make and model number can be found on the graphics card. Usually printed on a sticker.

Take care!

No vga

Make sure you have connected the VGA cable to the right VGA socket. If you have one on the motherboard and have a separate one on the graphics card, the graphics card usually takes priority over the motherboard one. If its not the case, remove the graphics card and then check in the BIOS to make sure the graphics card has priority an connect the VGA cable to it.

Obviously if the graphics card lacks VGA connectors and only offers DVI or HDMI connectors you will need an adapter to make the VGA work on the card.

How do i install geforce 6200

Hello! You must first shutdown your computer. Open your cpu and connect the video card on the agp slot of the motherboard. Make sure it is properly seated. Return back the cover of the casing. Connect the vga cable of your monitor to the vga connector of the video card. turn on the computer. The operating system will automatic read the new found hardware. Now try to download the driver of the video card this will give the video card its properties to change its resolution sizes and graphics output. The download site can be found here, just enter the code you see from the image and click download.

I have laptop acer serie travelmate 2420 but I use OS windosw7,,so when I instal driver the origin vga of that series is not compatible.... how the solution??thanks a lot

I checked and found that it is having an intel graphics card. You have two options for updating it.
1) Try to install the Win XP drivers and update it from device manager.
2) Try to download the intel drivers from the Intel Website.

If u need to know the details of the VGA card, u can get it from BIOS.

The drivers for your VGA are at this link for WinXP. Have you tried these? At the last line of the supported products is your own.
