SOURCE: Ge oven problem

Look for a microswitch connected to the lock mechanism at the back of the stove. The switch is probably broken.

The switch inside the door lock mechanism is stuck down making the unit think it is still locked.  the switched is located next to the hook that locks your door.

SOURCE: "Door Locked" flashing on GE Oven JTP15 - can't unlock

The problem may very well be in one of the micro switches on the self cleaning motor bracket. These switches control the electrical flow to the heating elements. In the owners manual there is/should be a chart that lists the unlock and safety combinations. This would be your best source of information.

I took the oven door off of my GE JGB645SEK3SS kitchen range - then mistakenly sprung the hinges. How do I reset them?

The hinges would have to be pried out of the slots and clamped in the open position to allow the door to be reinstalled. Door removal is never recommended maintenance.

How does one remove oven door on ge stove

Move the door to the broil position. Lift the door off the hinges. To re install the oven door the hinges must be in the broil position. Note: Some models have a screw on the inside door panel over each hinge that must be removed but I do not believe it is that way in your case. I looked at your model

Door to oven does not close completely - how do I access the door hinge to check or replace it?

Open oven door. Flip metal holder down at hinge to lock hinge. Lift door with hinge attached up slightly and off oven. Reverse to re-install door, making sure notch at bottom of hinge is hooked in frame of oven properly.

GE Oven door lock 'engaged' while door was open and door will not close - how do I release the lock?

If your oven door has gotten bent or warped (maybe you rested something heavy on it...), you need to remove the door, disassemble it, and straighten it. You can lift most oven doors off of their hinges by opening the door several inches to its first "stop," and lifting the entire door straight up. If the hinges have become worn, damaged, or bent, you probably need to replace them. We recommend replacing both hinges at the same time, to prevent uneven wear of the undamaged hinge.

My oven doors wont close all the way

When the door came open you may have bent the hinges. Open the door fully and it should stop at 90 degrees. If lower than that, then the hinges are bent and will need replaced. Also you may look at the install directions and see if your model shows removing the door. If it is removable for install, you can try removing and reinstalling the door. It is possible with removable doors for them to slide up during install and then they are out of alignment for closing. Hope this helps.
