Hi, does it build up preasure? Possible problems can be too much water in the tank, air intake pluged, auto shut-off not properly adjusted or defect. Was it run hot before without oil?

Need new ON/OFF box

If you take out the old switch it should have a model number on the bottom. Its important that the new switch has the same max pressure and the fittings in the same place. Most switches will fit in most compressors. Ebay has a large sortmiment.

All Trade 5 Gal just humms wont turn on

The start capacitor has gone bad. Needs to be replaced. That's what's inside that bump on the side of the motor.

Awhen i use my air gun it just started sparing oil throughgun

Hi, The compressors are cooled by oil. The motor is hanging inside the oil tank on springs. The air input on the inside is sucking oil. This means the hose on the inside is loose or has a leak.

Supersilent 30 gives a small sound then a click thats it

I had the same issue with my ss 20-a. I believe that it was because I used the wrong oil. Silent aire claims that you have to use their special synthetic oil. I did not know this and after nine months my compressor stopped working. I opened up the compressor and did a little tinkering. I found that the compressor shaft was stuck and not spinning. Taking a wrench and a cloth I was able to loosen it. Now it spins freely and produces pressure. I just have to wait for the silent air oil before I will let it pressurize fully.

Hello, i have a hoshizaki ice flaker, when i turn on in to ice mode, the compressor run for a few second then it shut off. what could be the problem. thanks

There are several possibilities. The most common is probably low refrigerant. Are you sure the compressor is actually running? If it just humms for 2 or 3 seconds, it may be a burned out compressor. That would be bad news. Take the side panel off and turn the unit on. If the compressor comes on and runs, the small line coming from the compressor to the condensing coils, (the thing that looks like a radiator) should be hot to the touch if it is not you are probably low on refrigerant. There is a safety switch that shuts the compressor off if you are low on freon. The compressor would "short cycle". That is it would come on and off and not every minute or so. That is bad for the compressor and won't make ice either. Also if you don't get a constant flow of water it might do the same thing. There is very little the average person can do to an ice machine as complicated as this one. Check your water flow, check the air flow throught the radiator like coils near the compressor. Other than that you need a refrigeration mechanic to check the freon pressures.

Motor starts sounding normal then after 2-3 seconds stops & just humms.

I suspect the check valve is stuck closed causing excess high pressure in the cylinder and too much load for the motor. The check valve is OFTEN right at the tank where the compressor output line goes into the tank.
