Self cleaning oven won't start self clean mode

I have an old Whirlpool Self Cleaning Model RM778PXT Self Cleaning oven/microwave combination. Everything works (oven, microwave)except when I set it for self cleaning (according to instructions), it will not heat up (heating light is NOT on, cleaning light IS on). This was not a problem the last time I put it through a self cleaning cycle (within the last 3 months).

Any ideas?

No, the door is not locking.... I thought the door locks when the oven reaches a certain temperature...?

After the Door Locking mechanism is replaced, avoid using self cleaning, the internal fuse blows very easy during this cycle

My whirlpool oven model RBD245 is locked after the self cleaning cycle, it does not heat up even if i open the latch with a tool?

Whirlpool have the self clean latch assembly solenoid go bad and wont return back to unlock the switch to tell the control is is no longer in self clean. Replace the self clean latch assembly or make sure the switch on the assembly is in the non self clean mode, If the oven starts working then you know the problem if it still doesn't work then there may be other issues.
