Please anyone suggest me is it appropriate to choose Casement doors and windows?

The winder mechanisms come in many types, but there are usually two screws hiding under plastic cover plugs on the locking handle or the crank handle mounting plate. You can normally pop them out with the tip of a knife or a jewelers screwdriver.

As far as lubricant goes, use a light machine oil like '3-in-One', or I use a dry silicone spray called Jigaloo available in Canadian Tire or from Amazon. Don't use WD40.

micheline, according to the LG Owner's Manual for the Model Number you listed, there is no LED display on the casement window unit (please see the Owner's Manual link below). How are you getting an E3 error code? Or by chance, did you list the wrong model number? Even Goldstar, that is made by LG, doesn't show your model number.

The included piece is not a template, but rather the piece the vent tube clips to. One side slides into the other and that allows for it being placed in windows of varying widths. I too had your problem with a casement window. I used a piece of plexiglass and screwed the round part to it and voila it worked. With my setup I was able to close the window (Pella). I later moved it to a double hung and cut the plexiglass to size. when we go out we remove it from the window. Easy peachy japaneasy.

They make special window units designed specifically for casement windows. They are taller and skinnier than standard window a/c's. They are no where near as common as standard window a/c's so you might have to look a little harder, but they are out there.

Heres an option for you I'm afraid you cant install an a/c unit In any position other than upright. Theres a unit size and type for every conceivable application though. GL!
