Yes, i installed the floppy drive and 128 RAM. Now the computer is showing everything is working except for this error code. I am going to plug in a keyboard to see if computer will boot up. But how do I determine which key is stuck?

Yes, but it won't boot. Once Compaq is on the screen it beeps for 3 to 5 sec then the cursor remains in the upper left corner-flashing. On the screen is shows

    BIOS Version 0F15

    0512K Cache SRAM Passed

    System BIOS shadowed

    Video BIOS shadowed

UMB upper limit segment address: EC1B

    Mouse initialized

    Fixed Disk 0: FUJITSU MHM2060AT

    ATAPI CD-ROM: NEC CD-ROM DRIVE:282

    ERROR

    0210: stuck key 39

Then F1 or F10 as the option.

I went to F10 and looked @ PhoenixBIOS Setup Utility, it appears to be on auto. I am not quite sure if I am looking at it right. After looking at this and trying to reboot the error message now reads 0210: stuck key 31 (instead of 39).

Also, I inserted the recovery disk and was able to get to the directory. It appears that the "n" & "u" keys do not work. I will attach a keyboard to see if this helps. Thanks for your help!

Can you get to the bios? Once in there you'll need to make sure that your new devices are enabled and that the bios is set for auto? Are you able to get there to check? Also, try removing the RAM and see if it makes a difference. You may have a bad stick.

I don't think there's necessarily a stuck key. It's more likely a bios error. Do you have the option to press F1 to continue?

Have you made any resent changes to your system?

I got the 0210 stuck key error on a Lenovo Thinkpad T61, pc would not bootup, made sure keyboard was connected and cleaned with aircan and then went into bios and via F1 on startup, then went to CONFIG then to Keyboard/Mouse then I disabled the TrackPoint. Boots up fine now but the red nipple mouse is disabled due to action mentioned above. Looks like a warranty fix for Lenovo since this is a newer laptop. If it was out of warranty i would just skip using it and leave it disabled. The trackpad works fine.

Thanks for this. Same issue with a Lenovo T60p. Based on your hint, I aircanned all the trackpad buttons and it worked fine.

Error 0210 stuck key 69 can someone tell me what it is

My guess is it is a programming glitch of the ALT key correctiable by BIOS modification rather than physically addressing. Such fixes are tried at your own peril and without guarantee of working (or even the computer working) after such.

That said, I would be awfully tempted to try an alternative keyboard (a rather dodgy idea if it is a laptop).

ERROR 0210: Stuck key 7B Press F1 to setup . Please help me out of this problem.

There are issues with the ThinkVantage Button at boot as it doesn't do what its suppose to. Just use the F1(BIOS Setup), F11(pre-boot/recovery area) and F12(boot device selection).

Just a reminder to practice press and release when pressing a button. We sometimes get impatient and do a key hold down for a while rather than multiple press and release.

I hope this would resolves your ERROR 0210: Stuck key

I have an IBM Think Pad type 2373. whenever I turn the computer on I get an error: 0210: Stuck Key 01 It says to press F1 to fix it, I do this and nothing happens. Can you please help me fix this?

F1 may appear as a secondary key on your computer. When the error message starts, try first pushing the 'Fn' key (near Ctrl), and then clicking the F1 button. Then you can follow your computer's instructions to fix the problem.

Error 0210: Stuck Key 01

This is a system board POST/BIOS error code (nothing todo with Windows). The ERROR 210: is a standard POST (Power On Self Test) errormessage that indicates an error with the keyboard. The error condition is thata keyboard scan code was received from the keyboard when none was expected, after the keyboard was reset. If this occurs most of the time when you power on yoursystem, then it indicates that a key is sticking down or the key mechanical orelectrical parts are broken. Sometimes blowing out and cleaning out around thekeys will resolve this problem. Otherwise, you need to replace your keyboardwith a new (or at least a working) one.

'stuck key' on IBM ThinkPad 390E (2626-DOU)

goto the device manager and uninstall the keyboard and restart the system. check that the error is still coming..

If still the error remain same ...shutdown the system and power off and just clap the each and every key of the keyboard to release the keys if any stuck. Check that error by rebooting the system. Hope that the problem is solved.

If still not then maybe the keyboard is going bad.
