No power I just bought this car from someone and don't have the manual to the CD player. It's been fine all along...even last night, then I popped the faceplate on this morning and the only thing that happens is it will pull in and expel CD's. There are no lights, no sound...apparently no power. I tried the off/on switch and nothing happens...Where is the reset button and where are the fuses and connections I should check?

Get a test light. check for good power on both the red and yellow wires with the key on. only one wire should have power with the key off... If one power is missing the deck will not work. Also make sure the deck has a good ground connection on the black wire.... if the unit has good power and ground and does not work the unit is probhably junk... i am willing to bet you are probhably missing a power though.

My car won't turn on it was working fine last

Just because you charged the battery it doesn't mean it is any good. Modern sealed batteries fail; just as you described, fine one moment and then nothing, they go open internally.

Had a Hyundai like that 27 years ago. Until I took it totally apart and re-assembled it myself. 2 years ago bought a Piaggio 45 cc motorbike, same story. Took that apart one night and put it together as should be.

CD tray wont stay closed

Try using a CD cleaner. Generally this sort of problem occurs due to dust accumulating on the lens. The CD cleaner comes along with a solution.just spray on the CD and allow it to play in the CD drive. Sometimes the problem might even be due to a virus. Check whether your anti-virus is up to date.

I just bought the unit last night and had the same problem. You need to take out the cardboard that's currently inserted as part of the new packaging. That should solve your problem.

Stopped working

Try getting in your car and turning on all of your accecories like windsheild wipers interior light turn signals ect.if other accesories are not working locate your fuse panel and look for a fuse that corresponds to an accesorie that is not working ,replace it and it should work.If the cd player is an aftermarket cd then they have an inline fuse on the back of the unit either directly plugged into the stereo or it there will be a fuse in one of the power wires.replace if blown and you should be fine,Rate me FIXYA! if this helps.GOOD LUCK.

Disk wont eject

It may have burnt out something in the power supply. Did you smell anything get hot or a pop from the unit.? It could also be that when it froze up that the slider assy that the laser assy rides along could be hung uo pn something like a dust or hair or dirt and made the unit draw excess current and shut down the power supply.. Try unplugging for overnight and replugging in and see if that clears up your fault. If it dosent you should seek a pro to assist you. Good Luck
