How to thread white sewing machine

are you using a denim needle for sewing jeans?
where is the thread getting caught up at?
make sure the bobbin is turned the right direction in the bobbin case

Can you get the bobbin out of the bobbin holder? unplug the machine, then remove the needle plate, needle and pressure foot. Now can you get the bobbin out? It is possible that the bobbin holder has moved in the rotary hook, they can jump sometimes as held in by a magnet.

Check out your manual for instructions to remove the bobbin holder, it should show you how to take it out, and then clean under it, there is possibly thread caught in this area causing the malfunction.

You may find turning the fly wheel a little to turn the hook will help to free up the holder and get it out.

Here is image from my Janome 6500 manual, it should be similar for your MC.

So clean out the underneat of the bobbin holder, then reinsert it, and reassemble, thread and test. If this doens't sort the problem, then time to drive it to the Janome shop.

Are you having thread jamming problems before you get this message?

I found that my bobbin holder which is held by magnets was being dislodged when I had a thread jam up, usually when I was trying to sew something very thick over a seam such as jeans hems.

Have you mastered removing the needle plate and the bobbin holder to clean in under it and putting this all back together again? With my 6500P, the needle had been striking the bobbin holder when it dislodged and rotated out of postion, the bobbin case had holes and damage to the plastic which was then catching the thread as the bobbin rotated making the jams happen.

Each time, I would dismantle the bobbin holder, clean everything, cut the jammed up threads, check the bobbin case and give the damaged bit a file with a nail file to make it smooth again, then put it back matching the red markings on the bobbin holder and the stopper, rethread and start over. I have bought two new bobbin cases too and taken it back to the dealer a couple of times over 5 years.

I've now learnt to not try to stitch over the thick seam intersections, I'll stop before, lift the pressure foot, move the work past the seam, then restart sewing. However, my machine was just serviced last week and it looks to me like the mechanic has added a part to hold the bobbin case in better, its like a little black lug on the left screwed into the outer housing. So perhaps Janome have addressed this issue with an aftermarket repair.

Check the bobbin tension and that the thread is tight around the bobbin. Make sure that the bobbin is in the right way around - the bobbin thread should double back on itself coming out of the bobbin holder.

if you have a snap in sewing table remove it first
at the bottom in front of the needle plate area is a bobbin case door
when you open it there is the bobbin case & also should be the feed dogs
always keep the bobbin area clean of lint or loose threads
take note of how the bobbin case is inserted in the bobbin area,, see where the thread tail is at on the bobbin case
then make sure the bobbin is wound correctly or it can cause sewing problems
reinsert the bobbin into the bobbin case the same way it's removed

Well you may please follow the steps below -
1. Remove the bobbin from the sewing machine. Note: whether you have a drop-in, front or side-loading bobbin on your sewing machine. A drop in bobbin will load from the top, may be via a removable bobbin case cover near the machine-fed dogs. A side or front loading bobbin needs to be loaded into a removable bobbin case under the machine.
2. Choose the right size bobbin for the sewing machine.
3. Wind thread onto your bobbin. Your sewing machine should have a standard thread spool to hold the thread and a short, squat post wide enough for a bobbin.
4. Put the thread and empty bobbin into position on your sewing machine. Wrap the thread around the bobbin to start it. On most machines, disengage the needle by turning the smaller hand-wheel on the machine toward you. Push the bobbin post into position, securing the bobbin into place. Press gently down. Thread should begin to wind neatly onto your bobbin.
5. Break the thread, push the bobbin post back into an inactive position and remove the bobbin. Tighten the hand-wheel. Thread your sewing machine again if necessary before loading the bobbin.
6. Remove the bobbin case cover and put the bobbin into position. The thread should slide through a catch on the bobbin case and up through the cover.
7. Access the bobbin case for a front or side mount bobbin. Lift the catch and remove the removable bobbin holder. Put the bobbin into the holder and run the thread through the holder, bringing it to the front. Lift the catch and slide the bobbin holder back into the case. Hold your needle thread gently forward with your left hand and turn the hand-wheel. The needle thread will pass down into the machine and catch a loop of the bobbin thread. Pull this loop up and slide both threads to the back before beginning to sew.

Here are a couple of things to try.

* Un-thread your machine and remove your bobbin. Clean any loose thread or lint out of your
bobbin case. Re-thread your machine, reinsert and re-thread your bobbin.

* Change your bobbin
There could be a nick along the edge of your bobbin spool that’s catching your thread as you
sew.

* When you start to sew a seam, grasp the upper and bobbin thread tails. Hold them back
and out of the way as you sew your first couple of stitches. This will keep them from getting
caught in your machine.

I had this happen the first day I got my machine. The bobbin case has probably came loose from the holder. There is a step by step cleaning instruction in the manual and it tells you how to reset the bobbin case in the holder in the manual.
