My heating blanket will not turn on. You push the button, the light blinks, but will not stay illuminated. This tells me the wires are ok, but something on the circuit board is not ok. When I took the cover off, the circuit board appears to be in tact, no loose wires or anything falling off -- all the lights turn on except the one in the far right corner on the bottom. Any ideas?

SOURCE: Sunbeam Electric Blanket Model 972 A5 Type 692

Did you get helped last year? If so please ignore. Otherwise....

Hi. You can locate a Sunbeam Service Centre via http://www.sunbeam.com.au/Pages/Support/Repairers.aspx

You're looking at $69,95 recommended retail.

BTW have you checked that it's not the blanket? Swap the controls over, if the problem follows the control it's the control. If the problem stays on the same side of the blanket, it's the blanket.

Also note Sunbeam has a 3 year warranty on electric blankets. If Date Of Purchase is less than 3 years ago call 1800025059 option 1 to speak to their Customer Service,

SOURCE: I received this electric blanket

Appears to be that the power is not getting to the temperature controllers. Suspect a problem in the wiring between the wall outlet (if not the wall outlet) to the temperature controllers. Look for broken plug at end of cord or a break in the cord between the plug and the controller. Last, you may have to look at the connections inside the temperature controller the power cord goes to in order to see if there is something loose inside. But do this with the blanket unplugged.

ok so when you press a separate button for the others do you feel a click and the button stays in till you press it again and it comes out but when your driver button is pushed in it just come out and doesn't stay in the switch is broken inside and the lock isn't engaging inside holding the button in /or is it that the switch stays illuminated showing its on but no heat from the seat element if that's the case you have to get under the seat cover to the element and possible clean the plug and connector corrosion can get in there from moisture or that element has failed ok

Usually if you turn on your turn signal and it stays lit solid inside, it's telling you the bulb is bad in your turn signal outside. I would check your bulbs first. Same for the backup lights.

When I plugged in the cord to the blanket, it displays a continuous blinking of the letter F

Sunbeams - blinking "F" means that the connection to the blanket was loose. Make sure you give it a good push to get the piece fully engaged.

My Sunbeam electric blanket controls blink when I plug the control cable into the blanket. I cannot turn the controls on or off.

Same problem, but now it is ok.  I emailed Sunbeam and was told that if my blanket was not plugged directly into a wall outlet it was not getting enough power and I needed to plug it into a wall outlet taking these steps:
1) Unplug from the surge protector/extension cord 2) Unplug from the blanket 3) Plug back into the blanket 4) Plug into a wall outlet
