the is a fuse on the board if you follow the power line on the board back to the main power board you will find it. also test the volts with a meter just make sure you have volts. some of these models also have a thermal switch that then the tv hit a surtan temp the fan kicks in.

when was the lamp last replaced in this set?

The fans are turned on and off by a thermostat that tells the tv the boards are hot inside. I helps prolong the life of the tv and the system while not perfect does work well. As long as the tv is plugged in to the wall it is possible for the fans to run.

If you turn the tv off (put it in standby mode) the cards are still warm from working and many brand tv's will continue to run the fans ... So if yours run a bit, I would not worry. If they run for HOURS then you better dig further. It doesnt hurt to vaccum back there from time to time... Free up the holes...

Lamp Fan, make sure all fans are running if they run for alittle while and stop Fan is defective.

CK all of your Fans and you may have Bad Ballast Board. But Start with fans if they stop running set will turn off also go to Encompas Parts online look up your Model Number or call them 1-80-638-3328 and you could have defective Lamp if Lamp has never been replaced and all fans are running then its the Lamp! If Lamp does not come on its the Ballast or Bad Fans.

It has you Posted as a projection TV and Not DLP, if Fan to Lamp stops running set will shut off to protect Lamp,I had a DLP that would play sometimes 30 mins then shut off drove me crazy trying to firgure it out and it turn out to be Fan would stop running I replaced Fan TV working fine . When you remove back engage toggler switch to up position put a piece of tape on it to hold it is a safty switch ,then turn tv on watch to see if all fans are running also if when tv trys to come on is there a spark coming from Ballast Board if so your new Lamp is defective it does happen if not your ballast board maybe Bad it is what turns on Lamp.If all fans are running Ballast Board.

2 things will cause this Lamp is defective, or Fan to lamp quits running this will shut TV OFF, if the fan quits running while Lamp is on it is design to shut Lamp Off to prevent Damage to Lamp IF Fans are ok It will be the Ballast board It is what turns Lamp on.Look on E-Bay for Ballast board if it turns out thats what you need or call Encompasss Electronics 1-800-638-3328

the fan will continue to run after the power is shut down on a DLP television untill the set has cooled down . But it should shut off within a few minutes
