Sure.

You can reset your DVD recorder by:
Making sure that the recorder is on and that the disc tray is empty
Using the front panel controls, press and hold STOP and press STANDBY/ON.
The recorder will turn off and all settings will be re-set.

I have a pioneer avic d3, and it is asking for pets name...and wont let me into the unit...
You or the person before you has locked the unit. You may have to reset the unit. The reset button is located to the right of the eject button. You will need to use a needle or pen.

PIONEER AVIC D3 - Just had the BT unit installed. I can make and recieve calls BUT I can't hear anything from the caller. They can hear me though and I can hear the phone ring when I get an incoming call...
Who ever installed the BT unit installed it backwards. This is a common problem. To fix it you need to remove the IP-Bus cable from the BT Unit and the D3, and then make sure the colors match. (Blue on Blue at the D3 and Gray on Gray at the BT Unit). That will fix your problem

How do you unlock the disk
I had the same problem when purchasing mine open box from CircuitCity. But this is how you do it. Pass it on.

While the unit is turned on, press and hold "MENU" and "Back (Track Left)" buttons simultaneously. Next, push and release reset button. Continue to hold "MENU" and "Back (track left)" until the unit reboots.

Check your EQ setting for each source, sometime on certain unit each source can have it own setting. May be try to reset it by disconnect the battery and reconnect. If you still have a remained warranty, contact Pioneer and send it in for service. Hope that would help.
