It sounds like the laser drum is damaged and not collecting toner correctly. First try cleaning the paper path with laser cleaning paper. If that doesn't sort the problem replace the drums.
take yellow head under the pipe with the hot water running, it should leak yellow ink, take paper towel and gently clean (plain water, NO alcohol), if its not working then read : http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=241
Remove all cartridges, make sure any tape has been removed from over the nozzle. Ensure that everything has been installed properly, then use your printer (prompts on device, or in printer>control panel) to print some test pages, realign heads, etc.
You have done some good steps for troubleshooting this problem. The next step would be to see that there are no obstructions between the laser, or LED array and the drum. you may also have dirt or an obstruction in the drum charging units.
Try dabbing the cartridges on a paper towel, if you don't see a yellow line, the yellow is just empty, many have had the same complaint, new cartridges with no yellow inside.
may be the colour catridge is not working properly just remove it and clean it and install it if the problem is continue then replace the colour catridge and install new one.
HP Business Inkjet 1100 stops everytime after the first line stars to print. The power is one, the ink drop light is lit, the "yellow" indicator light also on, and the paper light all on. None of them blinking. We replaced the yellow cartridge with a brand new HP 11 yellow cartridge. Turned the printer off and on to reset. Printer comes on everything looks good till you try to print anything, even a on line word doc? Then it happens again, so we replaced the yellow again...same thing. We ever cleaned print heads, Any assistance would be welcomed?
Try a hardware check of the printer first. To check the hardware of the printer, do the following:
Switch off the printer.
Load one sheet of paper into the paper feeder.
Press the Power button and the PaperFeed button at the same time and hold them both down for three seconds. Then release the Power button only.
When the printer begins to print, release the PaperFeed button. A page will be printed. The page should contain some text at the top and a series of horizontal color lines (cyan, magenta and yellow) below the text, with a thick black line below the colored lines. All the lines should be solid.
When the test is complete, switch off the printer. NOTE: If you do not switch off the printer, it will continue to print.
Try to do a nozzle check/ Turn printer off/ put in a plain paper
Press and hold the middle button on the printer while turning it on. When it turns on you can realease the buttons. Should [print the nozzles/ check if there would be gaps of missing colors/ if yes do head cleaning by going to printers and faxes under contorl panel>right click on c66 and go to printing preferences>maintenance tab>print head cleaning>do it 3 times and then try to print
