That sounds like a codec issue. I would try to find out what video format you tv set supports. Then convert you films to suit.

HOW DO I USE THE USB PORT TO PLAY MOVIES

Some TV models have a USB port so that users could play videos and movies from USB on TV. You can try the following steps:

1. Connect your readable and writable USB drive to computer
2. Copy your movies to USB drive and then disconnect your USB drive from computer.
3. Connect the USB device to the Sony TV USB port. Turn on the connected USB device if necessary.
4. Press the HOME button on Sony remote controller to open the menu.
5. Enter the target USD drive.
6. Select the file you want to play back, and then press the play button to start playing movies on TV via USB drive.
It's quite easy to play movies from USB on smart TV devices.

Why do I not have audio input on usb port?

Usually you play a movie that is stored on your USB ram disk that will plug into the USB port of your TV. The movie will then load into the TV's CPU via the USB port with both video and audio signals decompressed from within the TV's CPU, then the image will be displayed on TV while the audio will be output through the TV's speakers. So there is no need to have a separate audio input USB port.

Subwoofer

I'm not familiar with your unit. However, this is normal, since the "sub" is encoded separately in movies. I have a separate sub for my front speakers. Or if you know what you're doing you can redirect the front signal to your sub by using a switcher when you're listening to cds, then switch back to surround when watching movies. But again, you have to be experienced in the principle of A/V configuration.

No sound from usb movies on my bush blcd32h8 tv

If this is a flat screen maybe the TV isn't capable of decoding the audio you have for the movie. Check to see what audio the TV can decode. For instance: MP3, AC3 etc and check the movie file with a app called mediainfo and go to the audio section and see if your TV is capable of decoding that audio. Also check the extension of the movie file and see if the TV can play those as well. MKV, AVI, MPG, etc.

My hannspree tv screen goes black blank

If the picture shows a picture briefly upon power up then goes off after a few seconds, you have a back light fault. It could have a problem in the 24vdc circuit, failing back light inverter board, or a blown CCFL lamp.

Hi, how to enable subtitles for DivX movies from USB on LG 42LE5500? I connect USB, TV recognizes folder where DivX .avi file is but within same folder it does not "see" .srt subtitle. Also, in settings...

It seems that subtitle file must have exactly same name as movie file. For example: Movie file: Mission impossible.avi Subtitle file: Mission impossible.srt or Mission impossible.sub or Movie file: Mission_impossible.avi Subtitle file: Mission_impossible.srt

I have the philips 120hz and some movies are smooth, others jump

I would advise knocking down the resolution. Try and use software, like red kawa, to convert a few of your movies to different formats till you find a decent one. A widely accepted codec setup is Divx/XVid (both are the same) and MP3 sound.
