I have a Metro PCS Prism phone and it shows that green receiver on the top - it will not allow me to receive nor make calls when this happens. I have to turn the phone off to correct the problem. When I attempt to make a call, it shows the last phone call still open; but it will not let me end call. When I pull down the menu from the top the receiver has "unknown" below it. How can I correct this a prevent it from happening again.

I would definitely reset the phone, unless you can find a way to clear the text messages out before it crashes to the Main Menu. My guess is that you have a corrupted text message in your inbox, and it is crashing the software.

Resetting the phone will wipe out all of the data on it, so make sure you back it up first. If you have the Motorola Phone Tools, you may also want to try accessing the text messages or updating the phone software through it first.

When My Phone Did That, I Took It Into Metro And They Sent It In A Replaced It With A New One, The Guy At Th e counter Said That This Is A Common Thing And That Sometimes If You Download Anything From Your Phone Like From Funformobile.com Or Something, Or If Someone Sends Them To You From Websites Like That It Voids Your Waranty And It Causes That. I Hoped This Helped You, So Just Take It Into Metro And They Should Send You A New Phone Within 4-5 Buisness Days.

Please call the service provider and inform them.And go to police and get a FIR filed and take the FIR to the service provider office, they will block it.You cannot block by yourself .

If you flashed the phone yourself then I assume you have software on a pc or laptop such as CDMA workshop or QPST configuration. If you do and you have the phones USB drivers on your computer all you have to do is put your phone in diagnostic mode and run one of these programs to access service programming. There you can change the sprint data settings to metros. For instance user name would change from old#@sprintpcs.com to new#@mymetropcs.com. It sounds difficult but if you know the settings and have the software it is quite easy.
If you paid someone to flash it for you, they did a half a$$ job as they should have done it during initial flash. You can google metropcs data and mms settings to get correct info.
