I cannot get video picture on my dvd,But i can hear all audio functions.
Put a disc in the player and once it starts to play press stop, then press and hold the stop button for 5 seconds this will turn off the progressive scan feature.
I had the same problem. I accidentally in setup hit the Progressive scan function. I fixed it by blindly hitting the setup menu arrowing down 7 times, right arrow once and hit enter. That resets the progressive to off. Hope this helped.
Some DVD players have a switch that allows you to choose video or s-video output. You could check the position of the switch (if you have one). Your audio cables may be good but your video cable could be bad (I assume you are using a standard three cable setup with coloured hoods: right audio red, left audio white and video yellow). Your DVD player could be defective.
Also check whether you have activated progressive scan function by mistake or not, because if you do it you need to deactivate it.
Try turning on the DVD with no disc on the tray then push the stop button for 5 sec .
