DO I NEED TO DRAIN THE WATER IN REGULAR USE?

The Everstar Model# MPN111CRBB4 is a portable air conditioner. Based on the information available, it does not require a constant drain to be hooked up. Instead, it is designed to collect the condensate water generated during operation in an internal reservoir or tank.
Typically, portable air conditioners like the Everstar MPN111CRBB4 have an automatic condensate removal system that uses the collected water to enhance cooling efficiency. When the internal tank reaches its capacity, a "full tank" indicator will usually illuminate on the control panel, indicating that it needs to be emptied manually.
To empty the water tank, you can follow these general steps:
  1. Turn off the air conditioner and unplug it from the power source for safety.
  2. Locate the water tank or reservoir on the unit. It is often located on the back or bottom of the air conditioner.
  3. Gently remove the tank from the unit. Be cautious as the water inside may spill if the unit has been operating recently.
  4. Empty the water from the tank into a suitable container or drain.
  5. Once the tank is emptied, carefully reinsert it back into the air conditioner, ensuring it is securely in place.
  6. Plug in the air conditioner and resume normal operation.
Regarding the ports on the unit, the top port you mentioned may be used for attaching an exhaust hose to vent warm air out of the room. However, it is not typically used for drainage purposes.

Everstar MPK-10CR compressor keeps running after power off, on remote. Display blanks. Only shuts off when O/L @ wall plug tripped.

call in an electrician as there is a problem in the circuit allowing power from a neutral line and bypassing the switch

The unit squeaks whenever turned on, no matter what level the fan is blowing (Lo, Med, or Hi). Started about a week and a half ago.

A rhythmic squeak sounds like either a fan motor bearing going bad or just vibration from the unit running thats wiggling something loose inside the unit.

Unit will not power up just displays E1 Any tips to get this working again.

Not sure what kind of unit you have. Try turning off the main power/unplug it. Wait 5-10 mins and then restore power. E1 is an error code but w/o more info I can't tell what it means. If you have the make/model #? Or the owners manual should tell you.

I have an Everstar portable air conditioner Model MPA-08CR but when it is working for 10 minutes...it is working fine cooling the desired space but the next 10 minutes it is only working like a fan...then...

The problem may be that you don't have the temperature set low enough and the unit reaches the set temperature quickly and then only the fan runs. Try lowering the set temperature.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Make sure your air filters are clean and you are getting enough air flow. If you are operating it with the fan in automatic and it shuts off when the compressor cycles off change it to continuous circulation.
Fan on.
