A little confusing - you don't need a 'disc' in order to reboot your notebook.
What happens when you hold down the CTRL, SHIFT, DELETE keys?

You can:
1) You can go to Start > Shutdown > Restart (In Windows XP)
2) You can go to the (Windows icon) > Shutdown > Restart
3) In Vista, you can (Windows icon) > then the ">" arrow > shutdown and restart.
4) Unplug the laptop from the a/c adapter until the battery drains and then plug it back in.
Just to name a few...
can you clarify what you mean by "reboot" do you want to restart the system as in a shutdown and restart or do you want to restore the system to factory defaults?
