    Hi Jadestar;

Many thanks for trying to help me

The problem is that the LAPTOP resets itself when I switch it on and sometimes during working or surfing the internet.

I assumed from what I read in many FAQs that I need to do this update.

I re-instaled Win Xp, when I switch on now I have three options of Win Xp in the black screen. How can I get rid of the two remaining options.

Many thanks for your value help.

    Best Regards.

    W.L

You can edit the boot.ini file thats located in the C:\ drive. becarefull not to delete the proper entries or you can run into trouble. there are some free utilities out there to edit the boot file without causing problems. try a google search on those if you get stuck.

Operation system not found, cannot understand how

Try booting to the "Safe Mode" menu; but don't select Safe Mode....
Select "start computer in last known configuration"

If it boots, try to download "Stinger" from McAfee:
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/
Stinger does not have to be "installed"
If you can download using a different computer, you can run it from a flash drive.

Resetting bios

First, using a flathead screwdriver, carefully pry up the strip of plastic between the top of your keyboard and the screen. There will be some screws holding the keyboard on, get them out of there.
Slide the keyboard away from you slightly and then up.
Remove the ribbon connector on the motherboard that is from the keyboard, and set it aside.
The bios battery will be attached to the motherboard and should be in view.

Cannot locate access to memory slots in order to upgrade RAM on Evesham Voyager 64 laptop.

The Voyager would have been even faster with more than the supplied 512MB of memory - you can't upgrade this yourself, but Evesham will supply 1GB as standard for an extra £89.
http://www.evesham.com with the limmitted memory capacity, i would definitely turn off all unused open programs and services you dont need in windows. you may do this and realize you don't need more memory.

Flashing the bios is a very bad idea if your are having bsod. If it crashes during the flash then the bios chip wont work anymore.

Also flashing bios wont fix the bsod problem.

Could you give more detail about how the bsod happen?
Download memtest and run that from bootble disk to check if the ram is functioning properly.
