Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I understand that 'F14' for Kenmore (Whirlpool) machines decodes as 'EEPROM failure' (control unit) and 'DL' is Door Lock- a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor.
Sorry but I fear both F14 and DL require a service engineer's attention ;-0(
Good luck,
John C
'F' for fault, 'dL' for door lock and you don't hear it operating. It's pretty clear there is a problem either with the lock operating solenoid (highly likely 'cos you don't hear it operate) or the door lock sensor (not so likely).
Either you need to replace it or it needs replacing by a service engineer. Sorry, no other option ;-0(
Hi, this is a failed door lock alert. the FdL code represents this malfunction in the door lock mechanism. the unit will not operate if the door lock cant engage the latch.
replace the door lock mechanism asap. this will fix the issue.
unplug machine for 2 minutes this will reset the computer if problem continues look behind bottom front cover and there is a tech sheet that will tell you what the f code is the DL code is bad door lock assembly. it could be the main control (mother board throwing you these codes) Ive seen this happen before
