Well, obviously the slide switch is no longer making contact inside the camera. There's nothing you can do...this requires a service tech...not necessarily a panasonic tech but a camera service center would do nicely and probably cheaper.
The high-voltage transformer (same as power supply) is faulty. It is very common in todays electronics. The old one will have to be difused of all power with difuser. Then it will need to be soldered off and new one soldered on. You can get them at tigerdirect.com, shopjimmy.com, or partstore.com and others.
Same problem. I suppose BOSCH dumped these into the market and have chosen to disown them. Support is pitiful and vacuums have also been taken off their website. Too bad, was a nice quiet product for the 2 months it worked. Solution = new, non-BOSCH vacuum.
The valve behind knob has probably gone bad and needs replaced(bad bushing from factory maybe). Check to see if your still under manufacturers 1 year warranty. Or order a new one off manf. website or ebay with model #. Good Luck, hope this helps.
Sounds like one or multiple Reservoir Capacitors in the Power Supply were starting to dry up. You also get problems like this from dry joints in the Power Supply. You need a technician to take a look for certain.
