i have a frozen screen stays on same song but doesn't play what do i do to fix the problem?

  • jkwchan Apr 24, 2008

The screen turns on and it is stuck on one song which doesn't even play anymore.

None of the buttons work; you can't forward to the next song or go back.

I have tried shutting it down and that won't work anymore. In order to shut it down, I have to remove the battery.

I have also tried connecting it to the computer. I also tried putting the player on HOLD and then turning it on and connecting it to the computer. Nothing has worked for me so far. Please help!

My Sansa C140 won't work!

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the SanDisk website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

Sansa c140 screen frozen

Try a "hard reset". Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to shut off. With the device off, press and hold the vol + and the center select button. Power it back on, see if that works. You can add to the question if you have more questions. Best of Luck.

SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player

To reset the player hold in the power button for at least 20 seconds, when you release the button the player should restart on it's own. If it doesn't then try again holding the power button for a little longer. If for some reason the player becomes unstable and resetting doesn?t resolve the issue, then try the Sansa Connect Recovery Tool which will clean up your player and restore it to factory settings. You can download this tool & get instructions on it's use on the following link: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1532 Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!

Mp3 player wont play songs or anything

Only 2 suggestions here: 1) Make sure your HOLD switch is not enabled. 2) Try to update the firmware If neither of these work, time to send the unit back to Sandisk

hmmm i'm not familiar with the problem but try this.

First open your mp3 player and go to settings. Under the USB menu change it to MSC. Then plug in the mp3 player to the computer. Open the My Computer on your desktop, right click on the Sansa mp3 player and click Format. Make sure Fat32 is checked and Quick format is UNchecked. Then format the mp3 player. After that it should be clean and work just like a USB drive.

Let me know if this helps!

MP3 HOW DO I PUT SONGS ON IT

first of all, find yourself a good music download site, limewire.com is excellent. then download all of your favorite songs. go to library click on "explore". when the share folder comes up click on "organize" then "select all". when the little pages turn blue right click one of them and then left click "add to windows media player". the media player will come on playing your first song (normal). click on "sync" then click "sync now playing". you can check progress by going to the media library and clicking on the sansa c140 in the sidebar. hopefully you will be jamming before long. oh! do not unplug your device until it says it's ok on the media player or you click stop sync.;)

Help!

Well, i'm having problems with my Sansa c140 also, but with this problem I think I can help, hook your mp3 player into your computer, than delete all the songs, and simply put them all back on, and if that doesn't work, than repost.
