Orange WLAN light means no connectivity to the network. Try to reconnect to your wireless network and make sure to enter the correct wireless settings like the network key and SSID.

Lately from yesterday when i sign in it shows me message an error has accured u have been signed out of psn (80710092) why?? and i should do? thx

This means you've been signed out of the playstation network. A problem with your broadband, not your PS3. Check the connection of the ethernet cable from your router to the ps3. Then switch off at the mains both your ps3 and your router. Leave for 30 seconds then turn both back on. Wait till the blue lights on your router are all steady blue not flashing red or orange. Then turn on your PS3, go to network settings, then internet connection test. This will check your internet connection, and whether or not you're signed in to PSN, and also your internet download/upload speed.
Hope this helps.

Need help with wlan code

Security Code is configued in Wireless Router itself.

Please open your Wireless router Admin Panel in Internet Explorer. Please follow this steps.

1. Open Internet Explorer and type : http://192.168.x.x and press enter (x is router IP. Generally its 1.1 or 0.1)
2. Go to Wireless Security Tab and look there for Security code.

Now type that Security code in your Ps3 .

You find all details regarding to access router in internet explorer from Product Manual. (you can download product manual from Manufacturer site)

Hi,how do i connect my orange wireless dongle to my ps3,i do have windows7.

Hello,

The wireless dongle does not work as a wireless network card or router.
What this dongle does is simply connects wirelessly to the Orange broadband network so your computer can go online.

The PS3 will need to either connect to router or a network card on your computer.

Once your PS3 is connected to the computer, you can then share the network connection through Windows 7.

Thanks,

Pat

Hello ps3. connection test fails all the time. i cant play online. help

if your wlan light isnt blinking, that might be your ethernet connection. try switching your ethernet connection from your computer to your ps3 ( if you have a wireless router ) if not keep it there but change your phone wire connections.

Reset everything including the Hard reset (a small probably hidden button you must press for 15 seconds) you will find somewhere on the wireless router. I trust your laptop is capable of connecting wirelessly???and you have done this before???

I have a realtek dongle, wlan on a HP laptop. It shows 300 mbps and communicates with the router but no throughput to the modem. I have wlan on my laptop but wanted more distance and speed. Can't force it...

Has the Realtek been configured with the router's settings eg. the SSID and encryption settings?
I assume this has been done to prevent unauthorized access to your Internet/ISP.
Without these settings the Realtek can see the router but won't allow you to connect to the Internet.

PS3 and thompson ST585v6

So the WLAN is red, it means that there's no wireless connection from your router.

I might advise you to reconfigure the RCA on the wireless settings.

for the PS 3 there are port that you can gather with your PS 3 manufacturer to open on the router, it might help the PS 3 to go online simultaneously.

Orange blink of death!!!

Hello houng_lee,

I have the exact same modem, if the modem/router light is blinking, that indicates a problem with the modem. You indicate that you have internet connectivety, so you should have modem light solid blue. When you look at the Wireless light it's probably off. Which means that at this point you have internet connectivety, you should put the cd in and run through the wireless connection wizard on the CD. It will check to see 1) if you have internet connection, 2) the type of connection you have (comcast) 3) if you have any wireless devices to be hooked up. 4) That all connections are working properly.

If you have a laptop that you want to connect to the wireless router, have it next to the router, so once you've finished setting up your Wireless security and issing a WEP number for local access, you can test your setting immediately with the Laptop. I always suggest that you create a WEP number for securty reason, If you perfer not to create a WEP number, and leave it as an open access (which is fine, and easier to setup) make sure that you shut off broadcasting, So your neigborhood doesn't jump online once they see an open access router.

If you've tried these steps let me know what problems your getting during the wizard setup. It will tell you if everything is setup correctly, or their is an error. Right now, I think the problem is your setup, and it's not communicating correctly. But, the wizard will tell you that as well.

Let me know,

Good Luck

Mark
