Vizio e472vle will not power on
Unfortunately the T-con board is bad. Just so you know, the power supply and signal (main) boards are good. The T-con (Timing Control) board is part of the panel (screen) you would have to replace the panel (screen). This is not cost effective. You will need to purchase a new TV. Thanks for asking, Matt of Martins TV.
Are you currently able to push the Device Selector Slider all the
way to the right, into the TV position, and Press Power, to turn the TV
On or Off? If not, go back to the first 2 or 3 Codes in your list (or
the one the Installer selected, if he wrote it down) and see if you get
AT LEAST that functionality out of the DTV Remote. One of the Codes will
usually do that much, if you can get it to control volume, but not ALL
of them: volume control, like many functions, may remain the same
through several changes in Remotes, for many manufacturers. Don't forget
to push the Slider back over to the standard DTV position, after you
turn on the TV, or you'll change channels on the Vizio, and then you'll
have to reselect DirecTV as your Input Source. :-)
As
to finding the best possible Remote Code, for whatever reason, DTV's
Online Remote Code Lookup Tool, and the Built-in Code Lookup often list
Codes not found in the other. On top of that, If you call DTV Customer
Service, after you've exhausted these other sources, and armed with your
list of previously tried Codes and their results, in my experience,
they often have 1 or 2 Codes I haven't come across, which will sometimes
work.
I know this is kind of frustrating process,
but hopefully it will be worth it. And being able to Power your TV via
the Slide Selector is a decent fallback, even if you can't get it to
work from the On/Off keys. I hope that
helps.
