Sounds as if the system software that runs the GPS has been corrupted. Your device should have come with a CD that has software that can be reloaded or a utility that can be installed on the PC that connects to the navigon website to download and install the software for you.
Might want to start with that.

Navigon's don't come with CD's or manuals. Have you got Navigon Fresh downloaded? go to www.navigon.com. Fresh allows you to back-up, download, update, buy maps and options. Manual can be downloaded from Fresh too.
You might need also to do this...use a paperclip and press the reset button (small hole on side, you'll feel a click) hold it for 5 seconds. THEN hold down the power on button for over 10 secs (keep holding while it shows version number) and it will perform a factory reset. You will likely lose any settings and addresses, but better that than no GPS unit.
If not, it might be a faulty SD card (Staples had a batch like that) and Navigon support is usually quite good (if under 1yr etc).
Have you been trting to install 'torrent' versions of new maps, sometimes they have a bug and you need to go back to default, so again, use Fresh.
You have a few corrupted files internally. Contact Rand Support to
obtain a new update SD Card to upgrade you to the new version and maps. The update SD Card will not remove your user
data. Be sure to have your serial number handy,
(back side, bottom right).
