Brother MFC-9320CW is printing blurred images

(1) Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. If for some reason it does not follow these instructions:
(a) Unplug the printer
(b) Manually slide the carriage over until you can get the ink cartridges out.
(2) Remove the ink cartridges from the print head.
(3) Use cotton swabs dipped in hot water or a mix of hot water and isopropyl alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head.
(4) Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab.
(5) Once finished, allow to dry and replace the cartridges
(6) Try to print something now

If that does not work then you have one of two possibilities:
(1) One of the ink cartridges is defective and causing the error
(2) If it's definitely not that, then the print head will need to be replaced.

What is it scaner or paper problem?

If it is a paper problem take out all of the paper and return few pages in the tray. Try and print out something.

But I still thing that you will have trouble.

If the things I tell you don\'t wotk you may have to change a spear part like drum unit or a toner cartridge.

Sometimes if the drum unit is at it\'s life end you may experiance this problem.

Replacing the toner cartridge is an easy task.

This happened to mine, only my thick edge was blue. My problem was that the little green slider that cleans the wire on the toner holder was pushed to the wrong side. (Sorry, can't remember technical term for the green thing or the wire! It has an arrow on it and it's pretty easy to spot.) Push it all the way back to the left until it clicks and it should fix the problem.

I have this problem also with my Brother MFC-490CW printer. I find that I have to shut the printer off, then turn it back on to re-establish a connection.

i have the same problem. repeated cleanings seem to help, when i print large fonts they come out pretty clear, but the smaller the font, the worse the blurring. 600 DPI prints mismatching patterns, but 1200 DPI prints perfectly fine. so i have found that printing on "fine" quality instead of "fast" or "normal" quality improves print quality ALOT. it uses more ink, but i am in business and need to be able to read very fine print!
