I am using a lexmark replacement carteridge for dell 948 as per my computer store manager. The carteridges are not acceptable and I continue to get the error message to replace the carteridges

Unfortunately, if the correct Dell cartridges are in place and fully seated, the cartridge missing message indicates that the sensor in the printer isn't correctly recognizing the cartridges. If you have used non-Dell cartridges or refilled cartridges, try new Dell cartridges and check for signs of ink leaking in the system. Some printers have a removable print head that can be cleaned or replaced. I'm not sure about this printer.

If the printer is under warranty, contact Dell.

When a Lexmark cartridge is refilled, it will not be able to report its ink level.
Please note that all Lexmark printers work best when original supplies or genuine Lexmark cartridges are used. We do not recommend the use of third party, refilled or remanufactured cartridges - you might not get the print quality you expect from ink that is specially formulated by Lexmark.

For this model, I believe, access to the cartridge carrier is by lifting top panel backwards holding the slots on either side, beneath the control panel level. The Brother control program should guide you through centering the cartridge carrier and the replacement cartridge installation process.

I assume you don't have a manual.

you are not directly change the carteridge , when you are change the carteridge then you go to the printer service in printer & fax under

You have a failed cartridge.Printer need both cartridges to initializing and working.Replace color cartridge, if not help replace black too.

you can't change the carteridge directly, you chane the carteridge then you check the printer option

Check your colored cartridge ink level. message me with more details if problem persists

code 1203 in the middle of the page. good luck!
