SOURCE: my heater works fine when its a little cold, when

do not adjust your gas pressure without an manometer or if you dont know what you are doing could be very dangerous. Roll out switches are manual reset if you have an open roll out on a Goodman furnace you probably have a cracked heatexchanger, get a qualified technician out there asap

SOURCE: GMPN 100-4 furnace. Blower motor runs when not calling for heat.

The board is bad. The unit thinks a flame is present, so it tells the blower to come on. Replace the board.

SOURCE: replaced cracked heat exchanger on Goodman gas

It may help if you increased the blower speed. It sounds like you have a restriction in either the return air duct or in the heat exchanger. Does it help to open the blower door panel. If so, you have confirmed a restriction. How do the burners look? Are they good and blue or yellow? Are the correct orifices being used for the type of gas? I know I am asking more questions than you, but it may help us with the answers. Good luck to you Wade.

SOURCE: I have a goodman gpmn

Hello, looks like you limit switch keeps opening because your furnace is overheating, Check your air filter and blower wheel to make sure it is not dirty and make sure you blower motor is moving at the proper speeed. Usually when air flow is cutoff the limit switch will open.

Amana 80 sse flame rollout sensed what does this mean and how do I fix.

The flame rollout switch is located in the burner box on the left side on an upflow model. There are two wires connected to it .between the two connections is a small red button. Depress this until you here a small click. This should reset the switch. These
switches usually open because the flame is "rolling" back instead of being drawn into the furnace.start furnace and check for flame rollout.when the main blower fan comes on if you notice any change in the flame turn furnace off and call a qualified service person as this could indicate a cracked heat exchanger and could cause carbon monoxide to enter the house a potentially dangerous situation. I strongly urge anyone with a gas appliance installed to have a good carbon monoxide(CO) detector installed also. Hope this helps.

This was my 1st thought after a crack. The fact the indoor blower affects it is a give away. I would get a carbon monoxide detector, if it goes off you have some work to do.

Unfortunately that means there's a hole in the heat exchanger, particularly in that cell of it. When the main blower comes on the air is pushed into the heat exchanger, causing the flame rollout. A heat exchanger crack or blowout is usually what condemns a furnace for good. Goodmans however, have a lifetime warranty on their heat exchangers, so you'll probably be able to find someone to replace it pretty cheap, or do it yourself for free.

Hello, sounds Like the Furnace is tuning off due to the limit switch or rollout switch opening. A limit switch and rollout switch are safety swtiches that will turn off the furnace if it gets to hot or the burners flames are abnormal. Usually a weak blower motor, dirty blower wheel , dirty burners or even a crack in the heat exchanger can cause this problem. Best bet is to call a hvac technician and have them check it out.

Burner and pilot flames go out when blower kicks on

This is bad news you have either or hole or crack in your heat exchanger. When the blower comes on it causes flame rollout. Depending on age of age of unit it might be worth replacing the whole thing and getting the tax credit.

Rollout switch continues to trip

If you have a cracked heat exchanger this will cause the flames to rollout and trip this switch. Its meant to stop the furnace from running and putting carbon monoxide in your home. Watch the furnace as it tries to light if when the gas valve opens and flame is established it should go into the tubes heat the heat exchanger and then your main blower motor will come on. When your main blower comes on is usually when you see the flames rollout and trip that switch. If this happens you can either buy a heat exchanger or new furnace if its a older unit Obama still has that awesome tax credit til 12-31-2010.

Ruud gas pack cuts off after a short heating session. Only can start by resetting rollout switch. What could be wrong?

burners could be rusted blocking gas from getting across , so it pockets up and ignites all at once ,there also could be a partial blockage in heat exchanger but this is unlikely, or more seriously the heatexchanger could be rusted out with large holes in it so when blower comes on the positive pressure pushes flame back. either way when the roll out switch is tripped it indicates a pretty serious and potentially harmful issue that should be inspected and diagnosed by a reputible company.

Does the burner On my Goodman PBG Package unit produce a fan shaped flame? Or, Are my burnes bad? I have flame inside the protection box where teh rollout sensors are, but the unit still works.

Sounds like you may have a major issue. If the flames are not going into the heat exchanger there is a possible crack that is pushing the flames out. What you need to watch for is before the fan comes on and after. If the flames are going in and then the main blower kicks in and the flames come out there is a problem in the heat exchanger

Coleman Evcon Furnace Model G8T10012UHB11A

you probably have a cracked heat exchanger which is causing the rollout switches to trip.even the tiniest of cracks will cause the fan to blow the flame back into the unit and cause them to trip. check the heat exchanger for even the tiniest of cracks if so replace it. and be sure to have a carbon monoxide alarm in your home.
