I HAVE A Sony cybershot DSC-T200 AND EVERY TIME I TURN IT ON IT ASKS ME TO RESET THE DATE/TIME. IT WONT HOLD THE DATE AND AND GOES TO THE RESET SCREEN EVERY TIME I TURN IT ON. PLEASE HELP!
Hi there, been playing around trying to get camera going,as i took apart (easy enough, if you can handle a watch repair screwdriver) what i did find seems to be a standard watch battery located bottom left next to speaker. Pretty sure if you replace this, it should solve your problem. Just be carefull when taking out ribbon cable!

I have a DSC-W150R with the same issue.
Apparently this is due to a discharged "internal rechargeable battery". The internal battery is the one that allow the camera to recall settings and date/time. To re-charge it you have to completely recharge your main battery (in my case by removing it and inserting into the charger), then re-install the main battery and leave the camera "off" for 24 hours. This should recharge the internal battery.
Didn't work for me, not yet anyway but maybe it will work for you.
