We have a delonghi DTC 90 G FSD gas oven that is constantly turning itself off, it will only be on for a short period of time before this happens, and will need to be continuously re lit which is ruining food.

SOURCE: Oven shuts off by itself

When your oven reaches the desired temp. it shuts down then turns back on again after it cools down a couple of degrees and cycles like this during the complete baking cycle. If your ignitor or oven valve is getting weak it would cause this symptom.

I had the very same problem. I slid the oven out of the wall about 6" or so, unplugged it, plugged it back in. It worked. I'm not sure if I jostled some connection, or if unplugging/repluging it in reset some sort of circuit fault.

SOURCE: Trouble lighting gas oven. Brand is a Chef

I have a gas Tricity Bendix Country Cottage oven. The grill and the hob work perfectly but the oven won't light properly. The gas initially lights but then doesn't fire up properly, so the oven is warm but not hot and means I can't cook anything, can I fix this myself?

SOURCE: I just bought a house

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
This is a fairly common issue with these ranges
See what happens it that over time the electronic touch pad begins to wear out or stick and then it will eventually stick in the pressed position even though you will be able to press the touchpad the internal part of the touchpad is what is sticking thus giving you the continuous beeping noise this could also be a indication that the whole electronic range control is begining to fail . this is all part of the touch pad ok?
So i would recommend that you contact your nearest appliance dealer and see if they can get you a new electronic range control they are fairly easy to remove and replace ok?
Please keep me posted on how this is going ok?
Best regards MIke

My g70m oven ignites and stays lit but it won't heat up it stays the same all the time

Hi

You have one of these faults:

Faulty FSD (Flame Safeguard Device). When you turn your oven on the FSD lets a small amount of gas through, after about 30-90 seconds the FSD is satisfied and allows more gas to come through......this then moves over to the.......

Oven Thermostat, this will sense the heat from the oven and adjust the temperature accordingly.

If the flame doesn't go high after 60 seconds it's the FSD, if it does but then it goes low and fails to increase then it's the Thermostat.

Either way you need to get a qualified gas engineer to look at it.

I hope this helps

Gas oven won't maintain temp. It turns off after reaching temperature set.

Hi ya mate sorry to hear your having problems with you oven,

The problem wiht your oven seems to ba a faliure of the fsd/ffd, it seems to me that this device is not completey gone but is faulty.

This device is used as a safety feature on gas ovens and is there to turn the gas off to the oven when the flame has failed.

The way it works is that the intial small flame heats up the the phile at the end of the cappliary tube which is connected to a valave which realses the gas to the oven..

what you need is to have it change

hope this helps
