i have a Element 3210 black screen, sound but no picture. on the power circuit board any electronics 101 person can spot for you blown capacitors which you can pick up at radio shack and have replaced by a competent electronics tech.
Tries Element website itself if ur LCD tv model still in the market u can download manual for free not look for their phone number like 1-800..call them pay them a fee they'll send out a copy of the manual to u.U have a LCD monitor now hook up to ur computer right now to used as a monitor now wright?Yes.Take that VGA cable out from ur computer and ur old LCD monitor VGA cable out of the VGA ports just take ur hand and unscrew the VGA cable.Used ur old LCD monitor VGA cable and hook up to the LCD tv VGA port and to ur computer VGA computer graphic card port or computer monitor port hook up the other end.Turn on ur Computer and tv on used the sides button of the tv find one that said INPUT push it a few times should find ur tv mode 1,2.3 ur computer is on as a monitor.
Sorry that I can't give you an actual solution, but I've been checking up on this TV all night. 90% of the upset people are that way because they either didn't turn off everthing before messing with plugs, or used an incompatible VGA cable (even though I've never heard of one of those. Be careful back there, Element charges $250 for repairs before they even know what the problem is....
you may be having a power supply failure. i have seen many problems with capacitors on the power board in those models. are there any lights on the front when it doesnt turn on? if it were a power supply problem then you would maybe get a red light or blue light come on then go back off,
As far as I know, this TV doesn't have a PIP feature. The Element Electronics web site didn't appear to list this older model. www.elementelectronics.com did provide a phone number for customer support.
I bought two of these tv's and they worked fine,I hooked up a computer to both of them and blam smelt smoke in one and the other wont come on either. The computer takes them out. It is a common problem with this TV.
I have an element lcdtv 32inch. The tv is less than a year old, i was watching the tv and it just shut off. The red light is on, when i go to power it up, the blue light comes on for a second then blinks, and goes back to red. I know its not a brand name tv, but for 600 bucks, it should last for more than 8 months. Anyone have any advice ?
Sony sets are tricky to troubleshoot and you're not telling us much. For example, do you hear anything at all when you turn it on (clicking or high voltage coming up then shutting down). Anything appears on the screen at all ? Does the red light on the front blink and if so how many times ?
