Sound like u have setting problem with either the program your printing from or the driver. It could be set to print 2 copies of print job. If your using windows XP there a printer driver in there for the printer. If your using an older version of windows you can used HP laserjet II driver. HP always made there printers to be able to print with LJ II driver.

Oki microline 280 eco jumps around .75" for each new page

There could be a few possible reasons why your Okidata Microline 280 Eco printer is jumping around 0.75" for each new page. Here are some things to check:
  1. Check the paper feed mechanism: Make sure the paper is feeding correctly through the printer and that the paper guide is properly aligned. If the paper is not being fed correctly, it can cause the printer to jump around.
  2. Check the tractor feed mechanism: The tractor feed mechanism may not be gripping the paper correctly, causing it to feed inconsistently. Make sure the tractor feed mechanism is properly aligned and tightened.
  3. Check the page length settings: Double-check that the page length settings are correct and that they match the size of the paper you are using. If the settings are incorrect, the printer may not be able to print the entire page and may skip to the next page prematurely.
  4. Check the top of form settings: Make sure the top of form is set correctly and is not too close to the top of the page. If it is too close, it may cause the printer to jump around.
  5. Check the print head alignment: If the print head is not aligned correctly, it can cause the printer to jump around. Check the print head alignment and adjust it if necessary.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a hardware problem with the printer itself. In that case, you may need to contact Okidata technical support for further assistance or consider taking the printer to a professional repair shop.

12/640 PS wont feed from tray

I found the owners manual for your model, and it has detailed explanations of how to turn off the printing of the Startup page: This is where the owners manual is available online in .pdf format, at this URL: http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Manuals/printers/0340211ALW12640UM.PDF Startup Page Info From your Owners Manual: (Yes, I've been reading the Manual for your printer. I have no life. :P ) From page 25 of the manual: "The printer takes a minute or two to warm up, and then it automatically prints a startup page. It prints the startup page every time you restart unless you turn the startup page off using either the Apple Printer Utility for the Mac OS or the Apple LaserWriter Utility for Windows. See Appendix A for details on these utilities." From page 249 of the manual: "Appendix A - Setting the Printer Default Settings" "Though the printer itself has no control panel, you can configure it by using programs on computers connected to the printer: - On Mac OS?based computers, use the Apple Printer Utility and the desktop printer?s setup function." So the answer is YES, you CAN setup the printer to not print the test page, but you have to use the setup utility on your computer to do so. Opening the Apple Printer Utility (From page 251) "The Apple Printer Utility has two windows: the Printer Selector window, which is similar to the Chooser, and the printer features window, which you use to view or change the printer?s settings." 1. Double-click the Apple Printer Utility. - The Installer puts the Apple Printer Utility in the Apple LaserWriter Software folder. You can move it wherever you like. 2. In the Printer Selector window, select and open the printer you want. - If the network has zones, click the zone where the printer is located. - Click the name of the printer you want. 3. Click Open Printer. - The printer feature window appears with the Printer Information category displayed. 4. To view or change settings under a category, click the arrow beside the category name to open the category and display its information and options. - Additional options may appear that you can also open and work with. When you are finished changing options in a particular category, you can click the arrow again to collapse the options. (NOTE: The option you want is "Startup Page".) 5. After viewing the information and making changes, click the Send button to send your changes to the printer. 6. Click the Close box to close the window. Turning the startup page on or off (From page 257) "The LaserWriter 12/640 PS normally prints a sample page when you turn the printer on. This page shows the printer?s name, the total number of pages printed, the amount of memory, installed options, and communication settings. You can turn this feature off if you wish. 1. Open the Startup Page category. - The Startup Page panel appears. 2. Click the checkbox to turn the startup page on or off. - When an X appears in the checkbox, the printer is set to print the startup page. 3. Click Send to send the startup page setting to the printer. That should remove the default printing of your startup page. HOWEVER, there is another possibility to affect a repair to your problem... As the paper-feed rollers get older, the rubber on the rollers gets slick and won't grip the paper anymore. Try buffing the rubber rollers with some fine sandpaper and see if that allows the machine to pick the paper up once again. If this is your problem, then you might make the lower-feed paper tray work again. Hope this helps, but let us know if you need more information to solve this problem. ;)

When I put the paper in the feed, it just feeds without printing anything. I am unable to stop the printer, what can I do?

I have had part of this problem in the past. My printer kept printing and would not stop. In the end, I pulled the plug. Once up and running again, it was fine.
I expect you've checked ink levels. If they are ok, try taking out the ink cartridge and putting it back in, the start up again. The printer should then print a test page, and stop afterwards.
This is very basic, I'm not techie. If it continues to continually send out paper without printing, you probably need an expert. Good luck, hope it sorts itself out.

My HP P2015DN only prints one page at a time. If I have a 5 page document, the first page prints and then I must print the go button for each page to print.

Is the paper feeding from the manual tray or tray 2. If you are printing from tray 2 and have this problem then it is likely that your driver or software is looking for different paper types than you have loaded in the printer. For example, if you have plain paper in tray 2 and your software wants to print on letterhead, then the printer will stop after each page and by pressing the button you are telling the printer that it is ok to print on different paper. If you have the paper in the manual feed tray (tray 1) then I would check to make sure you are telling the pirnter to print to tray 1 and not manual feed when you send a print job.

Printer sends out extra page everytime I print

either your paper size settings need to be adjusted in the software, or your setup has included a seperator page.

HP Deskjet 6540 Alignment

Yeah, the only thing that can cause this is paper feed problems.

There must be either something loose in the paper feed mech (look for wobbling "tires") or there is still some paper or other foreign debris in the paper feed path.

The Paper light keeps flashing when theres paper in the printer

A few things could be happening here.

1. Clear the print queue, and if there are jobs that won't delete, reboot the computer.
2. Now clear the jobs on the printer (cancel job button) until the status light turns green.
3. Put a piece of paper in the manual feed tray on the front.
4. Print a test page.
If the test page prints to the paper in the manual feed tray, then it is set as the default tray. Go into the printer settings and change it to "auto" or tray 1. If the test page prints to tray 1, but the original document you tried to print (when it got stuck) still won't print, cancel the job. Now, again, put paper in the manual feed tray. Try to print the document again and if it pulls from there, go into page setup of your document and change the setting from "manual" to "auto" or tray 1. Clear the job again (if it's stuck) and you should be able to print again. Hope this helps. This is one of the most common solutions - it happens a lot, especially with documents that are emailed from other people and once they get stuck in the queue, nothing will print (except the test pages directly from the printer, like you describe).
