Yes. You can hook a phono graph to any of the rca inputs, but the phonograph has to have an internal preamp.

Oonsole model with stereo and phonograph, and phonograph will not turn on

The easiest way to find out the issue is to get an OHM reading to see if you are getting power from the switch when you select phonograph. If it is putting out, then the issue is with the phonograph, if not it is with the switch, and you will need to find a replacement.

No input selection for phonograph. can i not play a turn-table through this thing?

Hello sir hi, good day. Phonograph are becomming obselete these days, and most electronics manufacturers now omit the phono input.

You can use your phonograph but you may need to buy a separate phono preamp or audio mixer to be fed on any line in input such as auxiliary or CD in.

Can't play the phonograph

LINE is just another name for auxillary input or output, in other words a port to connect a jack etc to or from an external device.

Connect a phonograph turntable to a receiver w/o phono connection

you will need a little box called a pre-amp. This hooks up between the turntable and newer receivers without a phono input. A basic explaination & drawing of this type of setup can be found here

Phono input

I am not really familar with this receiver but almost all phonograph must go into a phono in. Due to the fact that a phonograph does not have whats called a pre amplifier. generally the receivers have a phono in and that input has an more sensitive amplifier cicuit in the input. That is why if you plug it in to something else unless it has a preamplifier the sound will be real soft. I think Radio Shack sells a amplifier you plug the Phonograph into one side and the other side into the receiver then you can use any input you choose.
