    I have an orange light and my printer keeps saying to restart. I have done so and I have no solutions.......Printer Hp Laser jet 3330 all in one

A solution:

  • Unplug
  • Hold down "*" & "enter/ menu buttons"
  • While holding down both buttons, turn power on
  • Wait until something like "initialize" shows up on the display
  • Let go of buttons
  • Wait until display reads "ready"
  • Unplug for 10 seconds, then plug back in
  • Hope it works for you

    I did the reset procedure recommended by Clive. Got rid of the "Error 79" message, but now I can't print at all. It will make copies.

    I tried updating the firmware, but keep getting the "frown face" so I guess the firmware update didn't work.

    Also tried cleaning the mirrors.

    Still not printing -- I just get the "error - printing" on the status bar.

    Any ideas?

Sounds like you need to replace the scanner. Check the price for parts and labor. It may be cheaper to get another printer.

My 3330 says scanner bulb is warming up then it gives me a error 79 message no ,matter how many times i restart it
The error 79 on that machine means that the scanner assembly has failed to align/calibrate. Could be due to a bad calibration strip on the scanner glass, have you ever sprayed glass cleaner directly onto the scanner glass? If so this can stain the calibration strip and render the scanner useless. It is probably best to have the machine serviced by HP.

When trying to print get printer pick error, makes loud scattato sound. Error 79
This is an internal firmware error.
Common problem in this model.

You need to upgrade the device firmware.

If you have an earlier version of the device, you have to get a Firmware recovery DIMM from HP.

If you have a later version of the model, you can download a flash executable file from the hp website. Instructions come with the download.

Bulb never lights up,
Hi The option you have is to check and make sure the connection between the formatter and scanner formatter are properly seated. The 79 error you are getting means you should try and do a firmware upgrade it could be giving you a problem and more than likely fix the issue.
