Brother PR600C, needles 1 and 4 keep getting check upper and bobbin thread msg, they sew a few stitches then stop. Have pulled it all apart, cleaned, oiled, rethreaded, new needles etc. 4 now works, 1 still doesn't. 2-6 all work fine.

The "race" on your machine needs adjusting. Remove the bobbin cover, bobbin, & case. What you have left is the race, it moves when you turn the large wheel on the top right of machine. The needle also moves up and down. There is a hook on the race that catches the needle thread. Try moving the race to the line up with the needle. It may take a couple of trys but it should do the trick. Also clean any threads that may be caught on or arround the race. Hope this helps!

The tread only breaks in the needle. what can i do . i don't get to sew anything . I tread the needle and get everything ready and start the machine and as quickly as that the tread is broken and the machine has not sewn at all.

i had the same problem and realized i was using the wrong kind of bobbin. there are specific ones for an embroidery machine and specific ones for a reg. sewing machine. hope this helps

Don't forget to change your needle too. It may not look bent, but it probably is.

I am not sure about this particular machine but in most machines there will be a nob on the front loose low numbers like 0 1 -2 work well on number 3. If the nob is not on the front check and see if it is on the side.
