Hold down the on button until the screen goes black. wait two min, then turn it back on. If that doesn't work, try connecting your device to your computer and go online to the manufacture website. Most have a way to check your device and fix/update it.
Turn the Navman off by holding the power button in the upper left corner of the device until the screen goes blank.
Plug the unit into its charger using the USB port on the
bottom of the unit. The battery indicator light next to the power switch
should turn orange, indicating that the device is charging. Once the
light has turned green the charge is complete. If the light does not
turn on, verify that the car charger is plugged into a working outlet.
Probably the plug on the navman has suffered what we call dry solder joints from inserting and pulling out the charger you need a tech to fix it. soldering is nesessary shouldnt be too expensive I fixed mine its about half an hours work if not too damaged inside
According to page 3 of the s series manual, "use the home charger model MII050100 supplied by navman as an accessory (may be sold separately)
Page 10 gives more details - simply plug in the home adapter, car adapter, or usb cable from your pc into the usb socket on your unit. Computer must be turned on.
Does the car charger cord plug into the cradle? or just straight into the unit (despite resting on the cradle) ? Do you know if anything else charges via the car charger?
