Error 9 is most commonly triggered by worn motor brushes. I would suggest checking and possibly replacing the motor brushes. When you are changing them, it is strongly suggested to use a commutator stone before installing the new brushes. This allows for a new surface for the new brushes to contact.

Test the speed sensor by continuity with DVOM and replace, and RUN the software calibration.
