SOURCE: Opening the top of front load LG washer

to get your lid of the washer there are 2/3 screws at the back right under the lip of the lid once you have taken the lid of u will see the top of the soap drawer u can sometimes get into these by undoing the clips on either side of the soap drawer if u cant do it that way only other way is to make sure your soap drawer is closed properly and hit it hard at the front it should dislodge more than likely your conditioner drawer

SOURCE: "CD" ERROR ON LG WM-3677HW Front Load All-in-One Washer / Dryer

CD means cool down, press the pause start button, the door lock will open. It is an anti crease cycle. It mentions it in the owners manual, but it is hidden deep in the drying section.

SOURCE: lg front load washer leaking from bottom of machine

I just fixed this problem - there is a rubber hose that hooks the bottom of the drum to the drain and recycle pumps - it is ribbed and it developed a hole. To confirm and repair (repair can be done from the front of the machine)

  1. Unplug the machine.
  2. Drain whatever water you can from the machine using the stoppered hose behind the bottom left panel
  3. Unscrew the visible screw holding the plastic in place near the drain hose and filter
  4. If you can pull the plastic recessed piece out, there is one screw visible behind it - unswcrew this. If you cannot pull it out now, you should be able to get it after you remove the screws in step 10
  5. Pull out the detergent drawer (push in the middle back "botton" to release the drawer to pull out fully)
  6. Unscrew two screws in the drawer area.
  7. Pull the top of the electronics assembly away from the machine and lift the assembly out (place on top of the machine or hook it out of the way)
  8. Open the door and remove the spring loaded wire around the door seal (be careful as the seal can be torn)
  9. Pull the seal away from the metal front panel, then close the door
  10. Remove four screws at the top of the front panel (that were behind the eletronics assembly) - If you already have removed the screw from step 4, proceed, otherwise lean the top of front panel out and pop the plastic out, hold panel in place and remove that bottom screw from step 4.
  11. Lift front panel about two inches, swing the entire front panel to the right and set against something - You should now be able to see inside the machine.
  12. There is a black hose right in the middle - when I squeezed mine a little, I could see where the water was dripping out from the bottom.
  13. There are three clamps - two that can be squeezed with pliers and removed, one that has to be unscrewed (phillips head screw - it is a bit blind as the screw faces the back of the machine) - Once I got mine off - I could see the hole.
  14. Order replacement and reassmble in the opposite order

SOURCE: LG front load washer -- water leaks

First, clean off the bottom of the door glass where it contacts the gray tub gasket when the door closes. Any hair or other build up can result in leakage. Second, if that does not completely solve your leak, you can move the location of the spring which holds the tub gasket from the very bottom (6 O'clock position) to the hinge area (9 O'clock position). Third: Sometimes, the reason you get a leak is due to the installation. If the washer was pushed into place by applying pressure in the center front of the washer, the outer front panel can be slightly deformed (inwerd) resulting in leakage from the door. If that is the case, sometimes you can remove the outer clamp and outer part of the gray seal and pull out on the front panel to correct the situation if it is not too severe, rather than replacing the entire front panel.

SOURCE: LG WM1814CW Front Load Washer rubber seal on front

Use some detergent plus baking soda and mix it in with the water--rub it around (with an old toothbrush) to loosen the mold. Let sit for a while, then wipe water, mold, and cleaner away. Finally, rinse with clean water and wipe dry. Leave the door ajar to air out after each wash. It will help to remove the standing water each time. Don't poke a hole in the seal to drain the water out, because water will then run out of the bottom of the washer.

Door on front load LG WM2455H* seems stiff when opening now. Works sometimes fine and other times starts then stops and I get dE code. Happening more often now but not all the time.

On ur model soap and softener can drip down on door hinge on inside of front panel of unit. It 'rusts' the hinge and causes it to be hard to pivot. That also puts extra pressure on the door lock mechanism and sometimes misaligns the closing. The hinge double pivots. Sometimes taking front off and lubricating the hinge will free it.

My wm2455h turns on by itself and after some time, it turns off. What is causing this>

It seems that the Main Control Board of your washing machine is playing up. The fact that when you unplug the machine from the mains, the main control board resets itself and you are able to start the machine points in this direction.

How can I spin and drain my normal size load. I have an LG front loading washer m/n WM2455H and it will not spin and drain. I hear the hum of the pump, so it isn't that. Went through all troub

It is most likely the drain motor even though you hear it humming. The LG drain motor impellers usually wear out on the motor shaft, and the impellers then just end up wobbling. The result; a drain motor that no longer drains water.

Washer won't unlock

These doors are usually on a timer and so won't be released for opening until a couple of minutes have passed by after turning the machine off.

Assuming you've already allowed for this, try giving the door a good firm push (closing) on the mechanism. It may just have caught partially closed.

I have LG Tromm WM2455H front loading washer. After finishing a load of clothes, the door did not unlock. When you push the power button there is 3 clicks at the door latch. When you push it again to turn...

The problem may be with the lock itself. Check to see if there is any signs of wear at the lock and lid assembly. Post back your findings and I will look for a service manual for your unit.

LG Washer WM2455H Tub Clean Problem

Yes, it's normal. It is a safety feature because of the hot water used during the tub clean cycle. It prevents the machine from opening while the tub clean cycle is in process.

Lg washer wm2455h leaking from bottom filter housing; there's nothing in the filter itself. Filter has proper gasket.

Make sure the drain hose is not plugged by lowering the end below any water in the machine--it should flow out freely. If ok, look carefully at the filter housing for any warping or cracking of the plastic lid or case. Make sure the clamp fits tightly. If water does not flow from the drain hose properly, try 'back-washing' the filter element--you may have to replace it if you have difficulty.
