This set does have a video problem. If it was bought locally, then, the retailer may have a 30 day return policy. If bought online or cannot be returned, then, contact Sony, for a service center in your location: http://eservice.sony.com/webrma/web/index.do Either way the set is to new to have a problem and you should get it resolved as soon as possible.

Hi, all you have to do is go past Channel 2 and the screen on t.v. will say Line that is where you will watch all your DVD movies...

Good Luck as I had the same problem when I first hooked up the dvd player to the t.v. , I thought I was going crazy , turned out it was simple... Enjoy ...

SOURCE: Toshiba TV fails to recognize HDMI input

If the tv does all those symptoms but after some seconds the tv works and stays doing the job. THen the tv has a slow microprocessor to recognice the different resolutions or video inputs.

But if the tv cannot do anything and stay aout of signal forever. send the tv to the waranty. (no waranty? you have to use the component input instead to have digital signal reproduced

Remote control

Be sure to check all your menu settings for the remote control function. Shake the remote a little bit if you hear some rattling inside then its broken. It could bee the IR eye that's has developed a problem with-in the remote or the tv itself. Try a universal remote to see if its the tv or the remote that's not responding.

Soyo Flat Screen TV Sound or Volume control is stuck

Hi deborah card, Lets first make sure your remote is not causing your problem, Look at the light (led) on the remote, is it lit and pulsing? If not you are having a problem with the control panel,  Have you recently cleaned your tv with a liquid? If so you will need to dry the panel with a hairdryer, unplug the power from the tv, put it on low heat and hold it about 6 inches from the panel for a few minutes. With the tv still unpluged press all buttons on the panel a few times then plug back in and try it.  Let me know if this helps and please rate this solution.   lone99star

'F' displaying on screen and remote not responding.

Excavated with Google from Philips website: " When a letter F appears on the right hand corner of the screen it means the television is in factory mode. To exit from factory mode, press the 'VOLUME -' and ?CHANNEL -? buttons on the TV set simultaneous for 5 seconds. " Hope this helps Michael Junge
