My MFC-210C is displaying the following message' "Unable to Print". As per the manual, I've checked for a paper jam and powered the unit off/on. The message will not clear. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks

    Hi Mix-it-up,

gave instructions to follow the above steps to my mom over the phone...so hopefully this was done correctly...apparently the following message/error code was generated: "photo capture"

    Thanks!

Brother MFC 210C printer unable to clean print head. How can I clean it manually? The inkjet cartridges are full but the printer does not print. Error message on display: unable to clean.

If your printer is like the 420CN Model, do not forget to disconnect the printer for resetting purposes and connect it again and it may clean properly and run fine. Good luck! hopes it work. It did for me. My printer is working fine and I like it. It does the work.

  1. Check for foreign objects, such as a clip or ripped paper, inside the machine.
Open the scanner cover by pulling up on the lower right corner of the cover. Look inside the machine and remove any foreign objects. If you see jammed paper or another item inside this area, gently pull it out and then close the scanner cover securely.
  1. If the error continues to appear, the machine may have a mechanical problem.
If the error message continues to appear, the machine will need to be reset.

Error message

I can't find the "50" as part of the "Unable to print" error. Usually when you get "Unable to print", it means there's a torn piece of paper, paperclip, some foreign object in the machine somewhere. Check under the scanner lid and inside the machine, look thoroughly; you may find a piece of paper blocking a sensor. If the error message continues, follow these steps before disconnecting the MFC so you won't lose any important messages. Then, disconnect the MFC from the power source for several minutes (which will erase all faxes), and then reconnect it. Check whether the MFC has faxes in memory: 1. Press Menu/Set, 9, 0, 1. 2. If the MFC has no faxes, disconnect the MFC from the power source for several minutes and then reconnect it. ?OR? If faxes are present, you can transfer them to another fax machine. Go to Step 3. 3. Enter the fax number to which faxes will be forwarded. 4. Press Black Start. 5. After faxes are transferred, disconnect the MFC from the power source for several minutes and then reconnect it. You can transfer the Fax Journal report to another fax machine by pressing Menu/Set, 9, 0, 2 in Step 1. Let me know if it helps!
