Loud vibrating or humming noise when TV is turned on but picture is fine. Sounds like cooling fan bushing or bearing is out or fan is out of balance.

It is the color wheel. Impossible to do this yourself.

Help!! I'm out of ideas. Loud hum that gets louder as it goes faster and then vibrates at 70mph. 2004 LeSabre, replaced hub/bearings, new tires with balance and then re-balanced. Everything else looks...

Sorry to tell you this sounds like a wheel bearing is bad period were they used parts? if not have the shop replace them. Many new parts are NOT to standards today.

Loud humming noise when you turn on the TV

There are only two parts in this set that have moving parts and can create noise. One is the color wheel and the other is the fan. There are actually two fans. One you can easily see from the back of the set when you remove the cover and the other is not visible. The most likely cause of this hum is the color wheel. It has bearings and they wear out. You need to be careful when or if you attempt to replace it. There are actually two types of color wheel for this model. Samsung doesn't tell you this. One has air bearings and the other has ball bearings. Mine had ball bearings and I ordered the part I thought was correct. I replaced it and it worked for about at day then failed. I thought maybe I had a defective part and returned the color wheel and ordered another one. Same result. I did some further research and ended up ordering the ball bearing type of color wheel instead of the air bearing type. There is a website that shows you the difference.
This seems to have resolved the issue. Good luck. It's not too difficult to change this color wheel but you do have to dismantle the set a bit and it helps to be somewhat mechanically inclined. make sure to take notes as you take it apart so you remember how to get it back together.

Motor noise coming from hp designjet 120 nr

The fan is probably filled with dust. This can throw the balance off and make vibrations or cause resistance which can make a humm, not necessarily a bearing, not sure if the fan even has bearings. Anyway, the intermittent noise can be that the fans only run when the printer is hot. Find where the noise is coming from clean off the blades and components with a damp rag, blow around or lubricate the center of the fan, and replace it in the printer. Should fix it.

Problem

Sounds like the color wheel or coolin fan both can cause this symptom. If it stops as soon as the set is turned off its probably the color wheel. If it continues for a minute after power is off its most likely the cooling fan.

Very loud fan or vibration noise

Listen from the back of the TV and locate the source of the noise. There may be fan with a bad bearing. The noise will lead you to it.
