Hi,

Sorry to take so long. I have been talking to Samsung support. the hour glass indicates that the dryer is in a cycle, but as it wont start and you've tried unplugging it, it seems there is a fault. Your dryer is new, so you need to contact Samsung for a service visit:

Before doing this, try unplugging the dryer again and this time leave the power off for a few hours - assuming you haven't done this already. It might reset if you do this.

I've pasted a transcript of my conversation with Samsung below. I pretended to be the appliance owner as otherwise they would not answer my questions!

Darlene: If your dryer is showing an hour glass on the display, it is normal. The hour glass is there to let you know that there is a cycle in progress.

Darlene: There is no option to reset the Dryer, only way is to unplug and replug the unit from power.

Darlene: I am sorry, a physical diagnostic is necessary to determine the exact defective part on your device.
Nick: I left it unplugged while I am away

Darlene: I recommend you file online service request to schedule service appointment, there you can get the Service Center information, so you can contact them.

Hi there,

At the Join Room Window, you must select your nickname on the "Join Room as:your nickname"

You can find it on the upper right section of the Room Window, this is where you select first the room that you will enter.

If the nickname still not showing on that section, make sure that you already add your nickname on the aliases.

For some clarification and request how to add aliases just let me know.

Select 'Account info' and sign in
Scroll down to 'Manage my Yahoo alias' click link
Make your alias - maximum 6
Click 'close'
Go to top and sign out.

When going through the chat room procedure pause after hitting "join a room" as there will be drop-box on top of the next panel giving you the option to choose what name you wish to use in the chat session

my problem now is... why i can't see the text message on ym when i chat??

Ok. I was the original poster of this problem, I have now found a way to solve this and will share the solution.

http://p1.pf.re4.yahoo.com/PUT_YOUR_ID_HERE and log in you can now edit your Nick Name.

About your sound problem, try to check your sound driver if it is ok outside of yahoo and if its not go to http://www.freecreed.com to get a codec.
