I put cd in to play it and then it pops up the ER03 error code

your vcr is not reading clean heads

error 1 is usually a mechanical failure code. check you manual. also you can try to clean the player. that may help. wal mart sells a cd lens cleaner.

E20  error is a problem with the focus on the CD reader. 

If the error only occurs on one CD then it's most likely a problem with a smudge or scratch on that CD and not the CD player  lens .
Try cleaning the CD thoroughly with iso-propyl alcohol

Laser is probebly goin bad and can't read. try putting a music Cd in. If it can play the music CD but not the DVD it's the laser.

are you trying to mix a MP3 CD and a non MP3 player?

Still under warranty?... check that.

try to clean dvd plaer lens with a lens cleaner...

The error code is a mechanical error fault, possibly something in the mechanics that load the CD onto the spindle motor. The only sure way to know what the problem is, is to open the unit and let it load a disc and see what happens. The problem may also be due to a very dirty laser lens, with a dirty lens the laser won't be able to read the TOC (table of contents) and all the CD's will cycle through the changer and a error code will be set.
