Inside Not Cooling and Outside is Hot

Even on a high setting the fridge is not sufficiently cooling and the sides and back of the fridge are hot to touch. The black boiler-type object on the back is VERY hot.

Hi there'll,l have a ninja and following a recent use with making a protein ball mix, l am unable to remove the blade from the unit. Any suggestions? I have tried soaking it in hot water

what about cooling it in a fridge . Hot water would expand the screw thread. Or Cooling in the fridge and then once cool put the screw blade part in hot water to create a temperature difference. Maybe ice and water inside the ninja and hot water to the outside blade assembly.

The top of my avanti mini refrigerator is hot

The return section of the gas cooling circuit is hot. Goes out cold comes back hot, so if that area has return lines behind it nothing wrong with the outside of a fridge being hot. Some fridges even have heaters built in around the doors and openings to prevent freezing up.

We had to move our Kenmore 18 fridge to install new flooring. When we hooked it back up, we noticed the 3 sides of fridge (freezer sides & top) were hot to the touch. We have a Kenmore18 with an...

its understandable that you fear the unit catching fire but in that the fridge must get hot in order to work. as the heat creates the cold but! in this case i would say your cooling fan placed at the rear next to the compressor has either stopped working or is in need of its blades being cleaned much like a cooling fan in the home when the blades get covered in silt it stops pushing as much cool air around its blades as per clean ones. so make sure the cooling fan turning on and give the fridge a good clean on the outside around the motor area. most importantly dont worry about fire the unit has many built in safety devices before that happens.

best of luck to you

This is usually normal for these units it can depen on how long the unit is running in a cooling mode.
the other thing to check is the condensor fan in the bottom back side of the fridge and make sure it is running if it is not the it needs to be replaced this will also cause alot of heat on the fromt of the unit

Refrigerator does not cool

If the refrigerator cooling is poor, it may be a problem with the thermostat, the compressor, or the evaporator fan. If ice is accumulating at the back of the fridge, that can also be a reason for poor cooling.

Fridge not cooling

If you look in the outside compartment do you see a yellowish powder? If you do, or if you smell amonia probably the cooling unit has leaked the coolant. It does not help to add coolant, it will just leak out again quickly. You will need a new fridge or to have the cooling unit replaced. If that is the problem, Dometic has a recall on some models for leaks and will pay for a new cooling unit.

Hot refrigerator

I had the exact same problem and got sick and tired of it. I contacted the Consumer Product Safety Commision and they came out and photographed my refrigerator and asked questions about the fridge. If everyone who is having trouble would write the commission we might be able to get the fridge recalled. Even if you repaired it already, they want to know the problem and what you did about it. the web site is: www.cpsc.gov. Everyone please help out. The more people we get to respond the better.
