Very angry. Fairly new, little-used Spacesaver Microwave [3][Clock][Surface Light] buttons now do not work. We never even press [3], just [1] and [2] to warm sandwiches. Unplugged for an hour. Still not working. Everything else works. We never use anything else. Bad solder joint in circuit board or keypad? Thank you.

If you have the experience with discharging a capacitor and you have a (VOM) Volt Olm Meter. Unplug microwave, discharge capacitor, and check the resistance of the two thermal cut-off discs by removing the lead and set VOM to RX1. If you don't get a reading of zero, replace the discs. For part go to www.partselect.com and enter your model number. If you found any of these suggestions helpful, please rate my solution. D. Lange
You may be looking for the philips flat head 1/4 x 28 tpi (threads per inch) threaded bolt that is
about 4" long. The tip of the bolt does not have threads, which aids in
locating the threaded hole in the top of the microwave:
General Electric's part number for their OTR microwave cabinet mounting screw is WB01X10180 (or AP3205964
or 942461 as listed on some repair parts sites).
A set of three is GE's p/n WB01X10125 (or AP3185225
or 910236 as listed on some repair parts sites).
This flathead screw is used on most Advantium Speedcook microwave ovens such as the SCA2001BSS03 or SCA2000FWW03 or SCA2001KSS03.
Need to find out the model for the serial number listed for this item.
