SOURCE: How to thread a bobbin on singer 4411 sewing machine

If you've threaded the bobbin per instructions... then make sure your needle isn't damaged, bent, or dull. Also make sure the needle is seated fully and correctly oriented into the needle bar.

How to load bobbin thread on my new singer 4411 machine. i have not used a sewing machine for 10 years and i have forgotten how to get thread on the blank bobbin.

First place the thread spool on the spool holder and secure it with the spool cap. Bring the thread to the left and snap it into the thread guide. Wind the thread clockwise around the bobbin tension discs. (Bring the thread to the right side of the discs and and then around the discs. Bring the thread to the right and then insert the end of the thread into the hole in the bobbin. Make sure that the hole is facing up. Place the bobbin on the bobbin spindle and push the spindle to the right. Hold onto the thread that is above the bobbin and step on the foot pedal to start winding the bobbin. When the bobbin is full enough, stop pressing the foot pedal (or wait for the machine to stop winding the bobbin). Cut the thread and move the spindle to the left. Remove the bobbin from the spindle.

Many Singer sewing machine manuals are available from their support page: https://www.singer.com/support . The current link to the 4411 Heavy Duty sewing machine manual is https://www.singer.com/sites/default/files/product_manual/SINGER%204411%20Heavy%20Duty%20Sewing%20Machine.pdf . The directions and pictures for winding a bobbin are on page 12 (page 19 of the PDF).

I hope this helps.

How to wind bobbin on model 4411

Do you mean the Singer 4411 Heavy Duty sewing machine? If so,
first place the spool on the spool pin with an appropriate sized spool holder, if you are starting the project. Snap the thread into the thread guide to the left of the of the spool pin. Wrap the thread clockwise around the bobbin winder tension discs (slightly to the left and forward of the thread guide). Bring thread towards the bobbin spindle. Thread the bobbin (put the thread through the hole in the bobbin). Place the bobbin on the spindle with the hole up. Move the bobbin spindle to the right. Hold onto the thread above the bobbin and step on the foot control pedal. When the bobbin finishes winding the thread, cut the thread at the top of the bobbin and the incoming thread from the spool. Move the bobbin spindle to the left and remove the bobbin. If you have already threaded the machine for sewing, you will need to remove it from the various guides and tension discs that are used in sewing. Then after winding the bobbin, re-thread the top thread.

The directions to wind the bobbin are in the manual on page 12 (page 19 of the PDF). You can find many Singer manuals at the Singer support page: https://www.singer.com/support . The 4411 support page is https://www.singer.com/search/support?lp=support&title=4411 . The current link to the manual is https://www.singer.com/sites/default/files/product_manual/SINGER%204411%20Heavy%20Duty%20Sewing%20Machine.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Thread bunches up into a knotted mess on bottom. Bobbin doesn't sit flat inside the bobbin case but spins with a tilt, lower on the left and higher on the right. Bobbin touches plastic cover plate.

Usually, thread bunching under the fabric is an upper tension issue. Be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the upper thread.

With the bobbin case operating at a tilt, there is something mechanically wrong with the machine. It may be best to take it for service.

The hand wheel does not move. removed the needle, still not working

Tried to sew, the threads got mixed up and the needle stopped working. removed the needle, still does not work even when I move the hand wheel.

You could have a bunch of threads wrapped in the bobbin area. Check and see if you can clean them out. Otherwise, service may be your other option.

Having trouble picking up the thread from the bobbin

Try a brand new needle. Verify that the machine is threaded properly--both upper and bobbin threads.

If it is still not picking up the bobbin thread, it is likely there is a needle/hook timing issue requiring service.

Why is thread getting caught and unable to pick up the bobbin thread?

try tightening the needle thread tension as it appears to be too lose
try loosing of the bobbin thread tension a fraction as it may be to hard to pull out of the bobbin case under the spring
changing thread sizes and material thickness generally requires a tension adjustment of the threads

Did you place the bobbin back into the bobbin case? Need to clarify what you mean when it does not sew.
