Check engine light after every oil change 2005 Honda

Look up reseting a 2005 Honda accord oil change light. There is usually a forward bkward roll of the key in a timed sequence.

sounds like its the lifters in the engine. do you check/change your oil regularly?

p2647 is rocker arm actuator A- bank 1 stuck on--- to fix it should be the VTEC oil pressure switch. That switch will be on the cylinder head. Towards the windshield and passenger's side (I think).

The first thing to ask is this, how does the car run? Does it still run the same as it always did, or is something different? The next thing to do is to get the car scanned to determine what code is stored in the computer that is turning on the check engine light. I certainly understand being broke, so most larger auto parts stores will scan the light for you for free. They wont fix it or give much in the way of advise, but they will at least tell you what code or codes are stored. Once you know what the code (s) are, then you can determine what the next step should be.

Auto Zone can scan for free. There is a lot of sensors that can triger a fault code.

Look in the owner's manual. It has it in there how to reset it. Usually it just has to do with selecting the oil quantity select and holding it down....or cycling the ignition a few times. Check your manual though....it will have it in there.

Try unhooking your negative battery cable for about a minute. And the re-inslalling it. If that doesn't reset it , it was probably just a coincidence that the battery amd the speed sensor went bad at the same time.

Maintenance is needed depending on the mileage, anything from an oil change to a major service. then the light can be reset.

To reset your light do the following:

1-Push maintence reminder button in and hold it in. (thats the button near the speedo on the insturment cluster)
2-Turn the ignition to the on position while holding button in.
3-Wait several seconds until the light goes out, then let go of the button.
It is now reset

Now this is the maintaince light and not the check engine light correct? If then just follow above and do that.

Also if you don't use Fram oil filters you can go 5000miles on your oil and be safe. Even honda says you can do 7000miles but 5000 gives you a buffer if you need to go over.

First I would change the sensor. It is cheap and easy to change.
