Flavela Milano E60 electric 9.9kw model: ML61CDW. The grill works when the door is open when it closes it stops working.

grills always need the door open to work
otherwise the whole top can become red hot
very possible that that unit has a safety switch on the door so that when it is closed , it will not heat up the top of the unit

I have preloaded the replacement hinge, but it appears that to remove the old hinge it must be unloaded. If that is true, how do you load the new hinge while it is on the door?

Ovens come in many varieties including freestanding units and stacked models that are inserted into a wall. Kitchen oven units that get a lot of use or are getting old may have problems develop, such as a loose or squeaky door which may require replacing the hinges. You can replace the hinges on the door to your oven by first removing the door from the rest of the oven.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Screwdriver
  1. Step 1 Open the oven door and examine the hinges to see how the they are secured to the door. Some oven doors slide into the hinge assembly or have a locking mechanism that secures the door to a latch on the main unit.
  2. Step 2 Remove the door from the oven by disengaging the locking mechanism and then pull the oven door out. You may need to release a catch on the door or remove a pin from a hole in the hinge.
  3. Step 3 Place the door on a flat surface such as a table or the floor.
  4. Step 4 Remove the screws that hold the sections of the door together to access the hinges.
  5. Step 5 Remove the hinges from the door. The hinges may be attached to the door with screws or they may be held in place when the door sections are tightened or secured.
  6. Step 6 Insert the new hinges into the door and secure them with the screwdriver or place the section of door back on. Tighten all of the screws securing the sections together.
  7. Step 7 Place the oven door back into place by sliding it on the same way that it came off.

Can you explain how to replace the light bulb in my amana oven?the model number AARG7303WW

This worked like a charm ... actually it's easier than you might think. Just a few screws and a few tugs. Give it a shot.. I found a 10W (G4 style ... you'll see the difference when you get to the store) replacement bulb at Home Depot for $6:

1) Turn off power to the unit
2) Open the lower oven door
3) Remove the side trim screws and pull the trims down and out.
4) Remove 2 screws on the sides of the control panel.
5) Open the Microwave door. Remove the 3 screws on the Air Vent Plastic Cover on top of the microwave. You can then remove the Air Vent Cover by pushing the control panel up and pull out slightly at the bottom.
6) Remove the 4 screws on the Air Vent Plastic Cover on top of the lower oven and remove the Air Vent Cover. (You may have to remove the left under side bracket of the Microwave door temporarily just for the Air Vent Cover to clear the screw of the bracket. Re-secure the side bracket of the Microwave door panel as the front panel may fall)
7) Remove the 2 screws which held the Microwave unit in place behind the Air Vent Cover on step 6.
8) Wiggle the Microwave unit out about half way to expose the light bulb unit on top center
9) Wiring to the Control Panel will prevent you from pulling the Microwave unit out any further. And you don't want to do that as the unit may fall. Space is cramped, but working carefully with your fingers or pliers you should be able to release the springs which held down the light bulb unit and change the bulb.

How do i take the door off to clean it

To take the door off you have to remove inner glass panels from both doors. Then remove the appliance from the housing unit. When the unit is out, you then have to unscrew the top panel and both side panels and lift them clear.
With the door closed, support it with one hand as you carefully unhook the large springs from the door hinge arms. The door frame can now be removed.
The above is from the handbook. You can actually remove the outer glass panel as well but personally would just slide the inner glass panel out and clean the door in situ.

Here is a simpler method from the same website mentioned in solution #1:

4) Remove 2 screws on the sides of the control panel.

Space is cramped, but working carefully with pliers you should be able to release the springs which held down the light bulb unit and change the bulb.

By the way, the bulb is Osram 64405S. It's available online for about $2.00 plus shipping.
