If the pictures are in the camera's internal memory, format the memory. If they're on a memory card, format the card. Either way, the Format command is in the Setup menu. See http://resources.kodak.com/support/shtml/en/manuals/urg01132/urg01132c5s2.shtml

WHY WHEN I PUT MY MEMORY CARD BACK INSIDE MY CAMERA,IT READS MEMORY CARD ERROR ?

If you have downloaded pictures from your card to the computer the memory card needs to be reformatted to the camera it is being used in. The camera and computer firmware and software are not compatible, you might get away without formatting the memory card a few times but eventually the performance suffers to the point the camera can no longer find clean space to write to. As a rule once you download pictures the card needs formatting.

My 2gb san disk gets 'system error' after just two pictures. Works fine with the 16mb disk that came with the camera, so I figured it was just the 2gb disk that was damaged. All the san disks currently on...

Download any pictures you have on the "new" memory card to the computer. I'm sure the card memory lock us in the unlock position or you wouldn't have got this far.

Anyway once the pictures have been downloaded to the computer hard drive do a proper disconnect or eject, safely remove device (different computers use different language for the same darn thing) in short shut off the link before disconnecting the memory card from the computer. Once this has been done and the memory card is back into the camera format the card. Formatting is necessary for any new card to program it to the camera it is going to be used in. Also after each download of pictures from a memory card to the computer eject (properly shut it off) and then format the card again. This give the camera a clean medium to perform at it's optimum and place clean new pictures on the memory card. Okay for the larger cards I ran into this with my pro camera and needed to connect to the manufactures web site and download updated firmware once that was done I was able to feed 8gig card into my camera. I full suspect that if you go to Konica/Minolta web site that you will be able to download camera firmware updates. It's just amazing what this will do for the performance of the camera pro or consumer type. Have fun hope this was a help

My memory card has a virus. is there a possibility to affect my nikon digital camera?

The only way that your memory card has a virus is that it was downloaded to the memory card from the computer and no the "virus" would have little to no change of affecting the camera programing.
Format the card in the camera and that'll clean any nasty corrupt files and give you a clean working medium to work with again. A memory card after downloading pictures to the computer hard drive should be formatted not deleting every picture. Deleting doesn't clean and will over time cause some card errors and fail to download and a bunch of other annoyances. If the card is formatted after each download to the computer then this annoyance will be eliminated.

Lines are shown when the picture is seen or downloaded on the PC - all across the photograph

If there are no distortions on the picture seen on the camera viewfinder then there is some issue with the picture manager software.
If the images seen on the PC are also showing clean pictures, then there fault on the transfer or the camera driver software.
Remove the SD card and insert into the PC using the card reader- use in any laptop- if the picture is clean , then uninstall the camera driver and reinstall, then connect to transfer. If the fault is seen the download another version from the camera support site to be installed.

Hi. I'm wanting to find an easy way to download pictures from my Cannon IXUS 8015 to my pc. My pc has recently been cleaned and I've reinstalled the relevant Cannon driver for downloading pictures. However...

There are three ways to download your pictures.

1. Using original software and a USB cable:

To download by this way you should connect the camera to your PC with its original USB cable. And also you should use the original software of Canon that you have already installed.

2. Using a USB cable only:

You should connect your camera with a suitable USB cable. Then a popup window appears. Choose to use the camera as a storage media then download your pictures.

3. Using memory card reader:

You should remove your memory card from your camera. Then plug in to your PC card reader or if your PC does not have a card reader, you should buy a new card reader. Card readers are very cheap and can be found every market.

I offer you to download your pictures by the card reader. You can see the pictures and choose to download easily. Just drag and drop the pictures from the card to PC. This is the easiest way that I can offer to you.

You can use "photofiltre" program to edit your pictures. This program is very powerful indeed. You can do everything with this program.
This is the link that you can download this program. I leave this program to my website for you for a limited time. At least two weeks you can download from the given address.

I hope it helps.

The card is not working.

You could to recovery your pictures doing this:

I had the same problem and resolved it using the following program, which you can download from softonic ( is free ) :

http://pc-inspector-smart-recovery.softonic.com/

Is easy to use, you connect your card to de pc (with a pc reader or the camera ), select the card's folder, the file type (jpg) and destination folder for recovering the pictures and finally press init. After that the program will detect that the card is broken and will ask you to do an intensive inspection, answer yes and you'll begin to see your pictures into the destination folder. The process take a time, but is satisfactory.

There is more programs to do his as "card recovery", but no free

Camera does not show taken ( saved) pictures

problem is in memory card...i think. try with cleaning memory card contacts. use pure alcohol and small piece of cotton to clean dust or other dirt. if this not help, try some card reader to transfer images from camera to PC. try also with some other camera. it's possible memory card is damaged and you can't do nothing. try reinstall nikon software on your PC.

Sandisk SD Card - disappearing pictures?

1. First of all, don't do anything further on the card. Don't format it, run scandisk or other "repair" software and don't try to shoot more pictures on it. This is very important if you hope to recover your information.

2. Second, observe the golden contact on the card, sometimes these can get dirty and make bad contact - if so proceed to clean them carefully with a Q-tips or similar and some ethyl alcohol (not alcohol drinks!) or isopropyl alcohol (many cleaning solutions like magnetic head cleaners) to thoroughly clean each contact. Avoid spilling and leaving drops on the card. Dry the card well before inserting it again. Never use water or other cleaning solutions or you'll ruin your card.

3. Next, go to download
PhotoRec - it's the best picture undelete program and it's free. Once downloaded, follow the instrutions. Of course you should try to recover your data BEFORE testing the card with formatting, writing etc.

Hopefully you'll find your pictures and next time please download them after each photo session!!!
