SOURCE: sound problem

You need to install the mother board chipset drivers as well. They should be available on Intel's website.

Hey there. Pentium-4's use AC97's Realtek sound systems, so you will need an AC97 driver.

Download it from : http://www.softwarepatch.com/utilities/ac97.html

Have fun :)

I am not getting sound driver for this motherboard intel p4 865gv

The Audio Drivers compatible with your Motherboard is " Realtek ALC658 6-Channel AC97 Audio "

You havent mentioned the Operating System, but if your O/S is XP, you will find the drivers on this link

Sound card is not running

From what I can tell you should be able to use the generic AC97 drivers available from Realtek. If the linked driver doesn't do the trick download the HD AC97 drivers and give those a try.

Post your results back here, especially if you are still in need of assistance or if you run into errors during the install.
